Genzo

Four of us went for a meal in Genzo on Saturday night. It was our first and most definitely last time dining there. We booked for 7.30pm and arrived at 7.15pm and were promptly seated at a very nice table. All good so far.
3 of the 4 starters arrived, but the fourth followed a good ten minutes later, by which time the other 3 were nearly finished. NO apology was offered. The main course then took over an hour to come. And a side dish accompanying the main course took a further 10 minutes to come. Again no apology.
A couple who were seated next to us got up and left. Their order was not taken, despite sitting for half and hour. They clearly have more patience than me, but not nearly enough to sit and wait for the awful service in Genzo.
We did complain about the awful service and were told that some of their staff were on holidays. Not good enough! We were not offered an apology but instead were offered a dessert on the house. We didn't risk it considering how long we had to wait for the mains so opted for a drink instead. We did notice a lot of tables complaining, with some walking out. A lot of drinks were being handed out on the house to avoid a full scale riot.
It is quite obvious that Genzo is owned and run by people with no restaurant experience, or business experience for that matter. Keep going like that guys and the bank will be repossessing.
My advice to anyone considering a trip to Genzo, is don't do it, life is too short.
