I disagree with the last reviewer. The food is top quality and the service is good. Not too sure about the atmosphere but I go there to have hearty Persian food and it never diappoints.

Planned for Valentines to have food there.

Service was ok, though food was below average.

Simply, won't recommend it.

I have eaten in most Iranian restaurants in London. Once a friend of mine who is not Iranian decent invited me and my wife to have food in Persian Palace, stating that the restaurant is always busy and lots of people queue outside to have food there.

We went there, and as expected the restaurant was busy. We ordered our starter, but before had a look at the cutleries, plates and table. They didn’t look right, they look like very cheap, but I told my self that does not matter, the quality of food and service is important not the plate, cutleries and table.

We ordered our starter, which was not what I have eaten in more than 10 Iranian restaurants in London. That was really poor quality. Bedsides, I ordered some Iranian drink called Dogh (Yoghurt + Water + let it fermentate for few days). That was not Dogh, it seemed that as I ordered they just added some water to yoghurt and served us as dogh(I could not have it).

Plate for main course was in dark khaki colour (you imagine) and the cutleries were perhaps used for many years that when looking at them, you could loose your appetite. Besides, they were not for main course; they were small for starter, not for main course.

Our main course arrived, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

My Kebab Barg was half size than normal and low quality. Kabab kobideh was literally made of rubbish meat and left over bread ( I promise that was the worst Kobideh I have eaten in my life).

Our rice was low quality rice and dry, therefore, I asked the waiter for butter, but he responded me rudely that butter is under your rice, but I checked it was not there. Since my friend invited us there, I did not want to argue and ruin the night.

I was ashamed when I realised that my friend, his wife and my wife are struggling to have their food, because of low quality service and more importantly low quality food.

When left the restaurant, saw some people queue to have food there, but I was surprise that real Iranian who are familiar with good quality food won't have food there.

when I look at most of people queuing I realised why this restaurant is busy. Because most of the customers were not Iranian, they were from Iran’s east neighbours. Obviously they could not differentiate between good food and what they are having there.

Now I know that if you are real Iranian, or not even Iranian, if you have tried real Iranian foods twice in your life, you should be able to judge the quality of their food in a glance.

Because of this embarrassment experience and to prove that Iranian food is not like what they had, 3 weeks later I invited my friends to have food in another Iranian restaurant in Finchley (I don’t call the restaurant’s name, cause all Iranian restaurants in Finchley are good). To make sure fairness, we ordered exactly the same food as we had in Persian Palace. My friends could not believe the difference between what they have had there and here, even my friend’s wife kidding me that I have made a deal with the restaurant to serve us the best food they could just to prove that Iranian food is tasty.

Finally, if you passed by Persian Palace, don’t be conned by the number of people having food there, just have a look at them to see what type of people are having food there.

There are two more Iranian restaurants just few yards away from Persian Palace, you may try them. I have not had food there, but most likely better food and service than Persian Palace.

To make sure that I am not judging them unfairly, you may have a look at their price, compare with most Iranian restaurants, their price is high enough to expect not excellent, but reasonable good food and good service.

Been here 5 times and each time there was a shortage of food!!!

I only come here for mince lamb and they never have it! They don't offer compensation either! Instead we choose between two other meals and get charged double!!! The food is great when there is food! The service is rubbish!!!!! We should be offered some alternative considering this has happened 5times...

Good food, have been here on many occasions. Service is not the greatest but I guess the food compensates, never the less nice place and atmosphere. GOOD Value for money and never disappointed.

Have been to this restaurant a few times now. always busy and always the usual quirkiness you get with Iranian restaurants. The staff always aim to please, they fail at times, but they are very apologetic, I guess it is a bonus that the staff can speak both Persian and English.

Food is very good both with the kebabs and the Stews (Khoresht).

I recommend it highly.
