I went to there with my boyfriend after the ice rink weeks ago. That was the first time I had Mexican food, I thought the food was well presented and cute. However, just mixed everything together, the taste was terrible. The staff was very welcoming and helpful though, maybe the food just not suit me. I like the atmosphere there, easy and relax. I wouldn't mind if i go there for a drink in the future but no food.

First visit to Wahaca, staff really friendly, had to wait but helpful buzzer system. Great cocktails at the bar, pricey but good quality, and very tasty. Slightly annoyed service added in when ordering drinks from the bar. Food was very good, and definately warm, we ordered lots of different small dishes, and then ordered some more. Churros were excellent - really hot and crispy, and the chocolate sauce was to die for. Friendly waiting staff, although request for iced water only actioned on fourth request, and it was a single glass each, not iced. Be aware unixex loos, but very clean. Fun night out, and reasonable prices.

This is a wonderful Mexican restaurant, very different from your usual Mexicans. The food is fresh and comes up at any time. The food is very spicy though, lots of fresh chilli used so be careful, The salsa dip to start is amazing. Informal dining and not to expensive, nice Saturday lunch or mid week dinner out with friends

The first thing I noticed was the fantastic buzz about the place. The waiters discreetly zipping around whilst diners chatted happily. The second thing was the broad menu of food. The waiter we had was very polite and patient in explaining the different meals, flavours and recommendations (that we have a large plate to share plus smaller dishes too).
Service was rapid but friendly, food was hot and tasty and I'll definitely be going back soon!

tried this new restaurant for lunch on Dec 2. What a disappointment after all the hype! I thought this place was run on the same freshly-prepared principle as wagamama but nothing of the kind. I ordered tortilla chips, guacamole and classic enchilada and horchata to drink. I was given a lot of spiele about how hot the sauce on the table was and that "first your waitress will bring your starter and drink then you will get your mains." In fact someone who was not my waitress (looked like some kind of student who had just dropped in off the street) casually dropped my mains on the table about 2 minutes later. No problem with that but it was near stone cold in a cold earthenware casserole pot. It was soggy encilada tortillas swimming in a cold tomato soup with a jedward quiff of cold grated cheese sitting on top. Looked like it had been prepared about 3 hours prior and put in the microwave for 15 seconds. I sent it back and paid just for the starter and drink which came after and which were fine. Mexican guy came over and tried to explain to me that is how they eat the enchilada in Mexico. I think NOT!! I have been there! If you are going to do this kind of thing with all the hype do try to get it right. Amazes me that owners must stick milions into this kind of huge restauarant and leave the staff/ cooks only half trained- or not at all.

Lunch on Friday 27th Nov. Fast friendly service with the same delivery system as Wagamama... it comes when it's ready.
Tortilla chips and guacamole were really good and a very generous dollop of guacamole it was too, not spicy enough for my tastes, but then there are three choices of chilli sauce on the table for you to pep things up: a bottle of Devon grown chilli sauce which has a really big kick to it (beware) and two smaller bowls of mild green and red smoked chilli.
The food is good, favourite dishes were the Huitlacoche Quesadilla and the Smoked Herring Tostada. We went for the sharing menu, which at £19.75 was very good value for money and plenty of food for two. Will go back for sure and will venture onto other areas of the menu.

I went yesterday for the first time. The waitress was lovely and she served us very quickly.
I wish I could say the same about the food. My main course was inedible and just luke warm. Then I went to order the churros. Churros?? Please!
I have to say the waitress saved the day for Wahaca!
