Mission

I must eat here at least once a week. It's a great neighbourhood restaurant, the food's of a consistently high quality and is great value and the service is exemplary. It can get a bit noisy at the weekends, particularly now it's too cold to sit outside, other than that I can't recommend it highly enough! (Oh and the £12.50 menu's an absolute bargain....)

Myself and a group of friends went to this restaurant last night and had the special 3 courses for £12.50. We were all highly impressed. Not only was the atmosphere lovely (there wasn't an empty table), the service was unobtrusive but efficient, and the food, well just fabulous. I have been to the Blue Elephant and paid £50 for a less delicious and satisfying meal. Go there!!!

Starter and main courses were excellent - both delicious and well presented. Good wine list with a large selection of wines by the glass at sensible prices! Service was attentive and friendly, and the overall cost was very reasonable. The only minor blot on the copybook was a disappointing banoffie pie. All in all a great evening - we'll be back.

The Mission is a top place to visit because it just offers something different. The food is excellent, and so so cheap given the standard. They are just doing it. Recommended big time.

The standard of the mission food, service and ambience is first class. Since our first visit we have returned several times, and have yet to be disappointed, The menu offers something for everyone's taste, and so far everything we have tried came up trumphs. They also serve great cocktails that you can have at the bar prior to eating. You can also choose from the extensive list of starters if wanting to share. Tiger prawns, squid & mussels with tamarind & garlic herb salad and the chargrilled strips of ribeye beef were two we tried. The Mossamman curry was best we've had and the paad thai noodles as good as you would get in Thailand. Friends had steak and a burger which they raved about. Decor, music and atmosphere very inviting. Service very professional. We think they deserve this praise. It's rare to find somewhere so good that you can actually tick all the boxes.
