Went for lunch on a freezing Monday. The staff are clearly happy to work here, helpful and knowledgeable. We received a warm welcome.
The menu is interesting and we had excellent burrata (for me) and calamari with a nice touch of chili (for her). Unfortunately there was no milk fed lamb that day, as we were both attracted to that dish. We took the filet of Scottish beef with wood mushrooms and pureed celeriac instead. Perfectly cooked, probably a little cooler than it should have been. As they had given us some nice freebies to start, we were too full for dessert. This didn't stop them giving us some excellent cannoli with our espressos on the house. Wide choice of wine.
We were very happy. My only slight comment is that I think the chef should be more ambitious with his menu. Clearly there is talent here. And while the filet was very good, it's not really Italian, and does not really stretch the kitchen.
