I discovered the Clarence last year during my annual visit to London and fell in love with it. I particularly love the dining room done in muted green wall coverings, reminiscent of a Georgian tavern. As an historian, I was thrilled to share my table with a bust of Winston Churchill. The wait staff was extremely attentive which is important to a single woman traveling alone. The food was consistently good, especially the lamb. I was so taken with the place that I returned several times. I'm scheduled to fly to London on Sunday and definitely plan on revisiting the Clarence several times.
