Carlsberg don't do Indian restaurants, but if they did they definitely wouldn't be better than this one!

I'm sorry to say I disagree with most of the previous reviews. Two of us went there recently and whilst there was nothing especially bad, neither was the food anything special. Much better tasting food can be found just 4 miles away, at the Raj Garden in Welwyn Garden City.

We'd give our starters 8/10, but the mains warrant only 6/10, and the Sag Aloo was poor, 3/10. The rice was sticky and overcooked, so 5/10. Overall our feeling going home was one of disappointment. So the Raj Garden remains the local number 1 choice.

The atmosphere is below-average as it's one large dining room which really needs breaking up a bit, with a few partitions or something.

This restaurant is simply outstanding, absolutly no faults with it what so ever...

Ever since we came across Taste of India 2 years ago, we have not been able to keep ourselves away from it.

With excellent food, and great customer service, it feels that your integrated with the restaurant. This unique experience cannot be missed!

There is only one problem with Taste of India - it puts most other Indian restaurants to shame!

Seriously though, the food is amazing and the staff are so friendly that you forget you're a customer and feel more like a friend!

Highly recommended!

I first found Taste of India 5 yrs ago and with my passion for the perfect Indian Cuisine there is none to compare with Mo's originalty and passion for the food he serves. It is a unique dining pleasure to eat in his very comfortable restaurant or his efficient take away service. Cheers Mo may you go from Strength to Strength

what can I say the Taste Of India is the best indian restaurant I have ever eaten in, the food is something really special and you will never be dissapointed as there's so many lovely dishes that will tantalise all taste buds, and for me the sag paneer, lamb narianghee, woodlands duck are all to die for!!!. the service is always first class and your always made to feel at home by Mo and all the staff. Cheers Mo for the best indian food ever.

How did you southerners keep this little gem hidden for so long? I travel up and down the country on business trips and have seen many a restaurant. Let me sum the taste of India in Hatfield up:

Food – Excellent

Service – Excellent

Atmosphere – Excellent

Value – Worth every penny

This is somewhere to seek refuge from stress, unwind and enjoy others efforts. I will be going again

I have been to this restaurant on at least 3 occasions in the last two years and have enjoyed it every time. The atmosphere is excellent with happy staff and an oasis like feel when you step of the street. The menu is diverse and every dish I have had brings the taste buds to life. The only negative comment I would make is that it is difficult to find. However, definitely worth a visit if you are into authentic Indian cuisine.
