Super burritos. Probably the best in London. I've been to all the usual suspects and these guys have the best food. Chilango serve faster, and I like Benito's because you can sit down, but Poncho is just delicious! Steak is my favourite, but all of them taste good :)

Really tasty burritos, great service, amazingly fast. Who could want more. The poncho pork is succulent and juicy and thinking about it makes me hungry.

This place has really worked on their recipes. When they opened, some of the dishes were lacking in flavour, but now they are all excellent, particularly the pork. Our desk now goes at least once a week. A must if you're in the area. Only downside is the short opening hours, but plenty of time to get your lunch.

Top notch burritos, full of flavour and bursting with spice! The beef was a treat, very tender and perfectly accompanied by the melt-in-the-mouth guacamole and salsa. Service matched the standard, with smiley pretty people behind the counter. I'm spreading the word!

Service great!! Thats about all thats good about it! Chicken Fajita Burritto tastless.

Fajita should be spicy, all i got was salty chicken in a watery mixture, Green Chilli salsa, i would say they forgot to put it on and if they did'nt then they forgot to add the green chilli,.Sour cream they ask!! half a teaspoon does not constitute a serving, Gaucamole they ask! mashed avocado with no seasoning is not guacamole, wheres the peppers, the lemon, the garlic, the black pepper!! ANYTHING to improve the green gloop they pass off as Gauc. i could go on put i think you get the picture. All in all i'm appalled and the Mexicans would be ashamed!! To take a delightful full flavoured food and do this to it surely has to be a crime. My advice make your own or opt for one of the other trillion eateries in Spitafields

Er, yeah. Not sure why everyone is raving about this place. It's fine. If you're hungry and you're near Spitalfields, you can do a lot worse than here. You can also do better.

Burrito was fine. Not the best or the worst I've had. They need to master the art of wrapping them properly. Two bites in and the filling fell out of the bottom. Not cool. Nachos were ok. Well, chips 'n' dip isn't rocket science is it.

Maybe this sounds grumpy. I wasn't expecting more or less than was delivered but I'm confused why people think this is the most amazing burrito place ever. It's not a patch on Daddy Donkey. It's the same standard as Burrito Bros. Maybe not quite up there with Chilango.

I tested this place out last week with my colleague for lunch, and were both very pleasantly surprised by the entire shibang! I went for the steak burrito, and received very generous portions of melt-in-the-mouth steak, topped off with all the trimmings - including plenty of fresh guacamole. A rather tasty (though messy!) experience. All served by good-looking, smiley people in a pretty wacky looking shop! A very satisfying lunch deal which looks likely to become our office regular.

Great healthy burritos, particularly the Baracoa - not seen that before.

A great new addition to the lunch market in Spitalfields, and super friendly service.

Beautiful floor too!

In a word: delicious. In two: delicious and filling.

The burritos are fat and juicy, a weighty reminder that lunchtime, perhaps a little sadly, is the best time of my day; a blissful hour away from my desk when I can dream of being somewhere sunny. Like Mexico.

The burritos cost either £5 or £5.50, the nachos are free at the moment (opening offer I think) and drinks are about a quid. Two people could feast for fifteen pounds.

The staff are friendly, attractive and helpful, and very, very quick. If, like me, you take the full 60 mins for lunch, this may not matter. But if in a rush you should know that the queue will move fast.

Even my desk job has some demands, so I will leave you with my most wholehearted endorsement of Poncho No.8. Yum.

ps my favourite is the chicken with spicy salsa and guac.

Saturday, February 27, 2010 - Barbacoa beef burrito with pico de gallo, pinto beans and rice. The meat tasted like nothing and despite being tender, was kind of glue-like. The rice was bland (I received plain rice, due to the coriander rice running out - everyone else after and before me got the proper stuff). The pico de gallo was a strong point, tasting fresh, zingy and adding some much needed flavour. The pinto beans were fine. The actual tortilla itself was basic and soft enough, though it carried some stale bits.
