TimeOut - 3/5

Monday, September 28, 2009 - The black lacquer bar and floor, portraits of guitar legends on the wall, gleaming pillars and shiny new sofas are just waiting to be scuffed. As rock bars go, it's more Sharon Osbourne than Lemmy. Ironic imbibing can be had with tequila sunrises and Long Island iced teas on the cocktail menu alongside rock-themed concoctions...Swedish specialities include meatballs, pickled herring, wild boar, caviar and beef Rydberg, which is a luxury hash with mustard cream.

I agree with Gruffo, this place should just close and turn into an office.

Sad, sad place. Whoever thinks this place is 'rocking' is either swedish or has a boring office job. Yep. the Pipeline (or the Poopline as we call it), is just a sad joke, especially on the weekend, where dodgy rock bands play to an empty room, in the week though its rocking with a bunch of guys in cheap suits eating dodgy swedish meatballs and drinking crazy (but moderate) amounts of rock and roll liquor! So, from the country that gave you Abba, we present another cringeworthy piece of music based fecal matter....THE POOPLINE. Motorhead. Poo. Nice decor though....for a naff stripclub.

this place is great! don't go expecting your usual grubby rock bar - it's not like the Crobar etc. it looks really chilled out and they have the nicest bar staff ever. we go after work cos you can have a game of pool before it fills up. much better than most of the lame wine bars in that area!!

food is surprisingly good, swedish-influenced cos the guy that owns it is swedish. nice hot dogs and meatballs but it all tastes fresh unlike some of the stuff the pubs/bars in the city serve up. good for when you want something a bit different too.

also full marks for their jukebox - Motorhead, woo!
