I am disagree with above reviews?? Some off the foods are good like their birany. But in term of service is not that excellent.I dont know owner or manager the man with a tie and suit he took us table when he comes to taking order i wnated to know dishes he cant explain in good english.

On the other hand he was very rude to his staff.I personally not recomend to anyone.

A friend and I visited Kasturi last evening after work and had a truly memorable meal. The main courses of Jeera (Cumin) chicken and the Rajasthani lamb really were outstanding. The side dishes we ordered --black dal, spinach and potato, pilau rice -- were also brilliant. And the nan bread was incredible -- really light -- and made a great accompaniment to the food. No room for dessert so I can't tell you what they were like.

Overall experience? No doubt about it --it was fantastic and light years away from the average curry house. Highly recommended by many good food guides I discovered this morning. No wonder. One thing is for sure, now that we have found it we will be back -- probably next Friday evening!

we have recently visited kasturi restaurant for dinnaer. We found it extremely tasty and food was not dripping in oil. The butter naan and peshawari nan are must tries. we never had such a soft naans anywhere in Uk ( we have eaten atleast at 100 asian restaurants in Uk).

last but not the least the personal service was five star. Thanks kasturi for making our dinner very special and personal.

For 30 years I've been blessed with eating some great food in Indian restaurants across most of London. Over the last 5 years I've also worked in Mumbai Bangalore and Delhi and the food there was a bit special !

So imagine my delight when I found somewhere which was equally special !!

The guys at Kasturi bring together some really different dishes. I tried Lal Mass which is a Rajasthani dish of pretty hot Lamb but cooked in a way which is a bit surprising ! (Thats got you thinking!)

And for lunch their Thali's are quick and tasty and again a bit different from the usual.

I'm sold on this restaurant - the owner and staff all go out of their way to ensure service is good - well done guys!

Terrific find in London. I have eaten at a number of Indian/Asian places and this has exceeded my expectations in many categories.

I have been there over 5 times now and each time I order one or two items from the menu that I have not tried before and am never let down. It is lovely to be at a restaurant in which each dish is consistently flavourful and expertly done.

The attention and commitment to freshness and flavour is apparent even in the sauces that are served with the starters - a lovely fruit and mint sauce and a tangy tomato based gem. Not to mention that the lamb chop starter is truly lamb - not mutton as is frequently served in most places under the guise and price of lamb.

The service is friendly and efficient without leaving me feeling rushed. All questions I have regarding the menu and cuisine are happily answered and the manager seems to remember my favourite dishes from the previous visit. I am definitely addicted to the okra. Spicey and crisp! The paneer is a treat as well. Stuffed with lovely herbs and nicely grilled on the outside...oh no I am getting a craving right now...

I would suggest a trip to Kasturi will be well worth it. oh and by the way, great wine list for the size and scope of the restaurant.

This is a must-do destination for indian eating in London. It's superlative food from beginning to end and making you wanting to come back and eat as soon as you can. Everything from the starters to the specialties, rices, vegetable dishes... is unbelievably tasty and refined. Try e.g. the adraki lamb chops, the bhindi churchurri (okra - except a fight at the table if you are sharing), the black dal, the zeera chicken... and I haven't tasted them all, but always enjoyed to the maximum. On top, the service is very professional, kind and efficient. In addition, pricing is reasonable considering the first-rate quality of fresh ingredients and home-made to the order cooking. Can't say more. Definitely my best indian dining experience ever!

I went for a meal here on the basis of having read some good reviews, but I would not go back again.

The service was brusque and rude.

When we ordered the kebab platter, it was not very hot on arrival (which it usually would be if it had come straight out of the tandoor). Being seasoned eaters of Indian food, especially kebabs, it seemed to us like they had been made earlier and then reheated. When we asked about this (politely), the staff became very defensive and rude.

When we asked for dish recommendations, the waiter replied that we could choose for ourselves and that he wasn't going to suggest anything.

We were quite astonished at their manner with us and would not go back.
