I've enjoyed the takeaway wraps a few times, and eaten in once.

Service is generally OK but nothing special - i've found it to be prompt but without any smiles or friendly comments, even though I'm always friendly to them - it feels a bit like they are my customer not the other way around! Maybe it's a machismo thing as they are all kind of macho guys in there!

Normally the wraps are really good, but today I was given my wrap as soon as I asked for it - i.e. not made fresh to order. I asked for extra chilli and garlic sauce and was told i could only have the chilli sauce as the wrap already had garlic in it.

The big disappointment came when I ate the wrap 10 mins later back at work. It was really tepid - as opposed to hot when freshly made (despite the 10 min walk back to work). But worse than this was the meat - towards the bottom the were all these brown bits of meat - the kind you wouldnt want in your wrap - I don't know what it was, but it didn't really look like chicken, or lamb etc. It seemed like the bits you might scrape off a carcass after taking all the good bits.

Not sure I'll be back - if I'm buying lunch then it has to be reliably really really good, and there's no shortage of nice places to eat in the Holborn area.

What a shame!

Been there several times and was appauled by service today.

Having to wait for them to clear plates, in the end clearing and stacking up for them, then waiting for desert, gave up and asked for it to take away.

With the set menu apparently it only comes with 4 baclava, rather than 6 in their takeaway trays, so more delays whilst they messed about for the sake of two tiny pieces of baclava.

I won't be going back there, the place on Sicilian Avenue around the corner "Safron Cafe" gives a warm friendly welcome, they recognise you and usually give free baclava!

They just lost one regular customer.

food was bland no flavour what so ever, the staff were rude, and the level of service you get for the amount you pay for is astonishing

I've been to safadi express a few times and I feel that food and service isn`t what it used to be! I had the chef serving me a cold lahem meshwi which by the way wasn`t cheap while the waiters were talking and arguing with each other! I love the lebanese food but I feel that I`m better off at the maroushs!

Had an excellent meal for two at this restaurant recently. Good menu choice, good portions and excellent, friendly service.

Had no expectations going in- just the vague idea it would be like other mediteranean food. Ordered set meal for two, which has plenty of food and plenty of different dishes. Each dish was high quality- well presented and tasty. There were flavours we didn't recognise and yummy drinks- the carrot juice is fresh and tasty. Service was prompt and efficient.

Only tiniest grouse- five pieces of chicken don't divide well between two people!

Never eaten Lebanese food before, had no idea what to expect - absolutely delicious! Decided on the lunch meal option which was excellent value - the lamb especially was absolutely gorgeous! Would most definately eat here again - my 2 daughters are vegetarian and loved it too - plenty of choice for them here. Didn't realise that no alcohol was served when we sat down but surprisingly did not miss this as the fresh fruit juice drinks were delicious and all our food surpassed our expectations - Mmmm!

Just tried this restaurant last night, and was extremely impressed! It's much better than some of the more expensive Lebanese restaurants in Marble Arch, and the friendly staff and service are far superior. The food is proper Lebanese, not a poor imitation for unsuspecting Londoners! I had 'batata harra' (spicy potatoes) for starter, followed by 'Kafta meshwi' (skewers of chargrilled minced and seasoned lamb), and a lovely 'muhallabiyyah' for dessert. All the dishes were full of flavour, and the meat was excellent. This is a halal restaurant, so there is no alcohol served, but this is not a problem when you can try the delicious 'jallab' drink: it's date juice mixed with carob, grape, rose water and pine nuts.

I'll definitely return to this restaurant, and heartily recommend it to others!

9.5 out of 10. True authentic Lebanese food here ... not the rubbish from most kebab places. Safadi serves delicious smokey moutabl/babagnoush... yummy grilled shawarma or grilled meat.... proper tabouli full of parsley (unlike what a lot of places call some mixed salad as 'tabouli'). Order the special safada meal for one - it's £8.95 - a plate full of a mixture of meat, tabouli, babagnoush, hommus and bread. delicious!
