As a special treat each year we celebrate our christmas party along with our colleagues at the cheyne walk brasseris. We always choose Sunday lunch time - drinks up in the lounge with the superb view of the Thames - sipping wine in the luxurious atmosphere - then onto lunch in the dining room - there is a great buzz from the customers enjoying their meals - the roast chicken is to die for - the staff ever so attentive - nothing is too much effort for them. All in all a fantastic start for the christmas festivities.

Good atmophere and pleasant service but let down by the food. The waitress highly recommended the Bouillabaisse for my wife..it was very poor, hardly any fish and a few mussels thrown in on top. When the waitress asked how was it and my wife said very poor the answer was "bad luck". No offer to get something else or give a drink on the house or anything like that. I had the risotto and it was good but a miserable small helping. We will not be going back. Plenty of other places better value for money.

Very, very disappointing - my glass of white wine was warm, woodchipped paper in the Ladies, with cheap and nasty soap, my Oxtail was tough and inedible. Very disappointing - a fancy restaurant should have better standards than this - lazy and unacceptable.

As others have said, the service here is superb, and the food is good, too. I highly recommend the virgin apple mohitos upstairs in the gorgeous lounge, even if you aren't teetotal - they are amazing. You might even get to do a bit of celeb-spotting - one night I saw Sir David Frost plus Viscount Linley and his wife, sitting at tables next to one another. My only word of warning is that this is a carnivore's restaurant - not suitable for vegetarians, and you have to be in the mood for hot flesh to get maximum enjoyment out of the menu.

I went to this restaurant last night and the night set off to a perfect start. The atmosphere is very romantic, the staff very friendly and professional. I was really looking forward to a great evening. But all of a sudden, the restaurant filled up with smoke, apparently the grill went on fire. They sent all of the diners out as it looked like the fire was inside the cheminy as well. The firepolice came and they had to close the restaurant for the night.

The staff was really apologetic and handled the situation very well. I have heard this has happened before, so I am wondering whether there is indeed something wrong with the grill.

I would love to go back and try it, but I am a bit concerned about saftey now.

Excellent, a true gem. Shared a wonderful evening here with my boyfriend. We started off in the cosy lounge with an amazing view upstairs for a quick drink and then enjoyed a fantastic meal. All three courses were great - especially the grilled meats that we had for main (I had lamb and he the steak). We enjoyed ourselves so much we were the last to leave! Would highly recommend.

Consitently good service and excellent food. Bring your appetite or under-order as the portions are American-sized.

Great atmosphere. Please don't swamp my favorite local.

I went to the brasserie for the first time yesterday evening for Valentines night with my fiance. In my opinion this is the best restaurant in London for a romantic night out. Having eaten in the OXO, Mirabelle and Patterson's to name but a few I was amazed at both the quality of the food and as importantly the service. I would not hesitate to recommend the brasserie to anyone be it a first date or 50th Anniversary. I would like to say a big thanks to all the team for such a memorable evening

I have been to this restaurant many times, either for a quick cocktail with a friend or a long romantic dinner. So many places in London have inconsistent service and food, ( i should know, I've worked in the business long enough!) but I continually recommend Cheyne Walk Brasserie, its service is friendly and attentive without being irritating and the food is out of this world. The decor and atmosphere is unmistakably classy without being pretentious, a good wine list and frankly I always believe you get what you pay for, It is not a cheap restaurant but it is well worth the money from begining to end. Those complaining about the price would be well advised to try Mcdonalds...

I love the place, I went recently to a parivate party, which was held in the Salon. A great experience, The Canapes were superb, the meat exquisite, the service friendly... I would have stayed on until the following morning. The cocktails (elderflower Martini) were well executed, and I wish I hadn't had so many...

I definitely will hold my party at Cheyne Walk Brasserie in 2006. I wish them a merry Christmas and A successfull 2006.
