Five ladies dined on a quiet Saturday evening, a relaxing experience with live piano playing to enhance the ambience. Found the staff to be very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. Menu not overlong but took us ages to settle down to order - however nobody hassled us. Porcini were offered as the day's special and chef could serve them with veal escalope or in a pasta dish. At our request, we were able to order the pasta version as a starter. It was excellent, as was all our food, which was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The highlight of my meal was the pud: variazione di pannacotta, mint, strawberry and vanilla with a light topping of meringue, served in separate pots. Declared to be delicious and so tested by the other diners!
We didn't all have a pud, we shared a bottle of wine (not big drinkers, us!), some had coffee. Bill was about £32 per head exc service which we thought excellent value for a superlative meal.

My collegues & myself have visited biagio bankside quite a few times to have the odd staff meetings and staff lunches.I was quite impressed with the level of customer service,on arrival we were greeted with a friendly member of staff who took our jackets & escorted us to the dining area to have a table of our choice. The food was excellent, the waiting staff was attentive & all our courses came out right on time. The desserts were very unique as i haven't had these at any other restaurant that i've been to.In addition I think Biagio Bankside is a great dining experience & wish the management & staff a happy christmas & a very prosperous 2010.
