I went to Rice on Friday night and fell in love with it! We had an amazing night! They had a booking of roughly 30 italian middle-agers so we felt like we were in a godfather movie, but then we were brought back to earth pretty quickly.
We started with a bottle of house red and the mixed starter platter, served with fresh bread in their very own tanoor! If you ask, they will show you how they make the bread (Which is yummy!). Once made, it comes to your table str8 away, so you smell the freshness of the ready-made bread!
I had the Koobideh and Barg, and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I love going out in Chiswick, but normally end up further down the high road. I don't think i'll be making that mistake. Rice was fantastic, reminiscent of those lovely parisian restaurants with idyllic music and tranquil atmosphere. As we were about to pay for the bill, we saw these amazingly handsome persian guys come in, greet everyone from the waitress to the chefs and sit outside for a pot of persian tea and a shisha. So we decided to do the same. A very fitting end to a wonderful night in chiswick!
Loving chiswick, loving rice, definitely going back for those quick lunch wraps!

I went to this restaurant at lunchtime today with my dear mum and we were both very happy with the food and service. We both had Khoreshti-e-Ghaimeh Bademjan (aubergine and lamb stew) with rice and Doogh (yoghurt drink). The food was excellent and it was served quickly. The staff were nice.

Rice - was my late father's most favourite eatery and he had his last meal there...I am so glad that he did enjoyed his life the way he wanted...and now I am number one fan of Rice, sitting at my dad's favourite seat whenever possible.
Truely, Romina is the hostess with the mostest and the way she and the staff care for each and every costumer is exceptional...the same care goes to the food..absolutely exquisite. I recommend this magical place strongly. <3

This restaurant provides tasty Persian food in modern surroundings. As someone who is half Persian myself and therefore used to good Persian food I find that Rice is a great bolthole for when I fancy some inexpensive 'home-cooking'.
My whole family are keen on this restaurant, so much so that they did the evening catering for my wedding a few months ago which went down a storm with our guests (who were mostly English!)
The only downside is that the starters are a little on the small side although due to the enormous main courses, this is soon forgotten! The kashk-e-bademjun (a starter made from aubergine) and kebab koobideh (minced lamb kebab) are particular favourites and visitors to Rice MUST try the freshly baked bread which is delicious, especially when it's still warm from the big open oven.
There are many good Persian/Iranian restaurants in London but Rice is definitely one of our favourites and highly recommended.
