honestly one of the worst dining experiences of my life, lining up outside in a cold windy laneway, lining up for 20 mins for a drink inside at the bar, once seated which was difficult as the music too loud and the staff had to yell, waiting for an hour for a couple of nibbles, then not getting main meal untill nearly half ten by which time the men had had enough. the food when it came was nice but so little of it we all left. music was boring, it had no atmosphere and didnt quite know what it wanted to be. acts were boring, not even weird.
dont waste your money, awful place

Worst food i have ever eaten.... I prefer tesco sandwiches or little chef to this muck
service is uninterested and poor.
advice, eat mcdonalds or kfc before you go. Or kebab on way home. Better food, better price
er, but the place looks nice!

I ate at the Supperclub on Saturday night and must say I haven't had food this bad since flying Al Italia 5 years ago. The food is gimmicky, so if you prefer to the novelty of eating your food with a latex glove as we did for one course, you will love it. The ingredients were basic and cheap, with one tomato sorbet tasting as if it had been made from the can with the only spice addition being tabasco (not even a hint of ginger, garlic or anything that might have made it taste less like a virgin mary ice cream). I made the mistake of informing the kitchen that I was pregnant, so my steak (which I only eat rare or medium rare) came out overcooked, dry and tough. I appreciate they may have been concerned for my health but the steak was utterly disgusting. The overall feel of the place is that of a nightclub. So not only is the food bad but it's not really the kind of place you want to be eating to start with.
We complained about the mains, funnily enough not because mine was overcooked but because all of the other steaks (11 of them, cooked medium rare) were stone cold. Some money was taken off the bill after a fair fight as the staff were not receptive to the comments made. They then reduced the bill to £35 each for food; I still felt my money would have been better spent giving it to someone on the street. I resent being asked to pay for food in places like this and will definitely, absolutely never be going back. The nightclub afterwards was quite cool though.

So £50 a head to go and eat 4 courses, watch some cabaret type acts and then dance to great dance music on a Saturday night is not bad in my book...
I'v eaten a lot lot worse for a higher price and sat in much more boring dinner venues than this in the past, its not your standard restaurant with the standard table and chairs...
I live in Hammersmith and the location is Notting Hill and for me its a little closer to my home than Hackney and a lot cheaper in a taxi ...
Not to everyones taste but i like it and i want to go again, make sure you go on Saturday when the shaved head Dj is playing, from what i remember i think he said he plays fortnightly, great up-tempo house type music...My girlfriends and i left smiling

I have been to the Supperclub in Rome and totally enjoyed the experience. So when Supperclub opened in London I was thrilled. I took a friend for his birthday supper there and had informed the staff a week ago that it was his birthday and that he had a gluten allergy. We were made to sit on a bed at the top - tip for anyone going - ask to sit downstairs - you can enjoy the performances from your bed whereas we had to keep getting up. We were shown to our "bed" and after half an hour were told that they were going to squeeze someone else onto our bed as well and to share our table. We said that it was absurd and the waiter informed us that it was normal...we noticed that none of the other customers were told the same thing. In any event, we had no option but to agree.
When the food arrived, it had gluten and my friend was told that he could only eat a small part of the starter as that was non gluten. This was just ridiculous. Everytime we were served for the rest of the dishes- my friend was served food with gluten and we had to send it back.
For dessert, I had organised a suprise with happy birthday on it. The staff forgot all about it even though I had reminded them. Finally I had to tell them in front of my friend - which completely spoilt the suprise.
I remember the experience in Rome being really nice and relaxed and worth the money. I didnt think the London supper club does the brand any justice. It is overcrowded, over commercialised and they try to cram in too many people.
I would not recommend anyone go there - particularly for a special occassion.

So in short - possibly the worst and most amateurish food i've tasted from a professional kitchen ever. Friendly, attentive staff who were really trying hard to please. Entertainment was perhaps more tacky than risque and provocative, but mildly entertaining. The seating was on beds/cushions as i'm sure you've all read and if you're with the right crowd it can be fun - a word of warning, you will be asked to take your shoes off so wear your best socks.
Shockingly expensive considering how bad the food was, but they had loads of staff, entertainment and plenty of nerve so it was understandable. £45 per head for food alone, then drinks and massages etc you will pay about £60 a head which is reasonable in a top restaurant.
Overall and suprisingly, we had a really fun and different/unique night out. Music was eclectic and quite uplifting. But if you're on a budget and quite fussy about your food then forget this place. Come for the club night after dinner. As soon as they clear your last plates (@11.30) they clear the floor and supperclub becomes a club venue. Before you know it, the pushy hostess was giving our table away without having the chance to put our shoes on. So the night ended on a slight sour note and we wouldn't go back in a hurry but it was an interesting night.

In all serious, one of the most embarassingly awful nights of our life. The 'entertainment' consisted of a singer who couldn't sing and someone in fishnets running around cooking a pancake. New York's 'The Box' this is not. It's more like first day at Clown School. We did drink a lot though to try to get through it, which meant the bill was over £100 a head. There were hardly any guests there, and those that were seemed to mostly be friends of the staff or owners. Don't make bookings for this place far in advance as we're pretty sure they won't be open for long, definitely don't take clients there if you want to keep the business, and to the staff, perhaps actually serving the customers and being professional might be a better option than running around like children giggling and playing kiss chase. Outstandingly awful place.

I have been to the club (London) on 3 occasions, twice with friends and once to the launch.. I have also been to Amsterdam and San Fran and many other similar clubs around Europe. So what do I think, simply don't believe the hype! I have read with interest several sites and find the reviews suprising, it's not that good. Customer service appalling, food average, drinks ok and atmosphere...pretty poor really. Amsterdam does this sooo much better. Very much a daddies credit card venue and deeply over priced. Venue is poor location, needed a W1 address to do this well or the very least Soho, even Shoreditch! So many better nights out in London, had potential to be unique, fun and something to tell your friends about, ended up being a don't bother venue.. Sad very sad

Supperclub is fantastic. As others have said fantastic lighting, food, staff, entertainment and music. OK I'll give it to you eating off your lap on a bed might not be for everyone but If that is the case then ask for a table.
Suggesting it is not near any station (and in a dodgy area) is simply not true. Westbourne Park is an easy five minute walk, Ladbroke Grove maybe eight mins with it being situated just off Portobello Road. Otherwise a short cab ride from Notting Hill Gate.
If you want a fun night with "top" restaurant quality food (I believe the chef is ex Oxo Tower) there is simply nowhere else to go. A nightclub that does good food. Priceless.
Must visit.
