Dei Frescobaldi (Harrods)

A bit of a waste of time. Our family wanted to have a nice sit down lunch in Harrods, but this is definitely not the place.
a) Location is rubbish. Next to escalators and people tasting wine. Also, very hard to find in Harrods.
b) Service. It's like you're not in Harrods... or any nice place. Waited 30 minutes to be seated, 40 minutes for starters and 1.5 hours for mains. Simply unacceptable, especially since the "restaurant" only seats 25 people.
c) Food & Price. It was alright, but just not the stardard expected, especially for the extortionate prices it was going for. One of us ordered mussel soup and there was barely 5 spoonsfulls of it. I had ricotta and spinach ravioli, which was nice, but just as nice in Carluccio's, where it is much cheaper, more efficient, and more friendly. As someone has already said, you can have much nicer dishes with a nicer atmosphere in the West End, maybe even for less.
Not worth the visit.

Well...you are in the basement of Harrod's.Next to the excalators. And shoppers pass constantly on their way to the toilets. The tables have no tablecloths . For this experience, you are charged prices similar to being seated in a quiet, tranquil top-notch restaurant in the West End .Not sure why you would want to sit and eat here?Limited menu which is not a bad thing. But the prices!!!!
