Cosmoflame has changed recently and i decided to check it out. We normally eat out in Chelmsford or surrounding area's once a week. I wasn't sure to expect as there are mixed reviews, most of them fairly good. On arrival the atmosphere was good with a few other diners in but not too many which i thought was a plus. The waitress was very polite and sitted us staright away. The menus and wine menu were brought over, and she wxplained that they were out of pinot grigio blush due to its popularity, this was good to know before we ordered. There was a mussel in a tomato sauce as a main.
We ordered the mixed meze with home made bread which was delicious. I then had the monkfish and my partner had the adana, a traditional turkish dish. The meals arrived promptly as you would expect and tasted very nice. We ordered the house wine Bacaro sangiovese which was equally nice and a good price.
Next we both ordered the baclava dessert which was very nice.
The music was easy listening and atmosphere warm and invited. We were shown upstairs which i was suprised to find seating for another 80 people. Great for a private party. All in all a very good restaurant
