This is a small though fairly intimate Thai restaurant, just off the main crossroads in East Finchley. We visited early on a rainy Sunday evening when not many people were thinking more about returning to work the next day than enjoying an evening out. As such, the restaurant was fairly empty and we had the benefit of almost one to one service.

The food was very good indeed. Certainly good enough to send back a completely empty set of dishes. I'm dropping a point due to logistics, however. The table surfaces were quite cold and, as such, the food went cold more quickly than usual. This was a shame, but not a major problem.

The service was extremely efficient and not pushy at all. Also very friendly with lots of smiles all round.

Personally I found the decor a little on the clinical side. Although there were attempts to venture into the trendy, there was still an air of canteen, rather than cosy restaurant. I'd imagine this wouldn't be a problem if we'd visited on a busier evening in the summer, but this was a cold autumn night and things could have been warmer.

No complaints about the bill. Two people eating two courses with drinks for about £30 can't be bad.

Parking is easy enough, with local residents' restrictions only in force around lunchtime. Just pick any side road.

Overall, recommended.
