Cafe Creperie (Marylebone)

I went to cafe Creperie with a friend. I was really excited to find a crepe place. I am french so I know very well the stuff and I love it.
I have to say I was rather disappointed with the crepe that I got. It didn't have any taste, chewy and cold. I think that is the worse I ever eat.
The staff was fine, but we had to wait a long time to be served.

I don't understand the bad comments - I had a delicious crepe, good service and I will go back there soon.

Bad service, slow and rude. Crepes are not made fresh but made in advance and then reheated. Such a shame. In my opinion a creperie = Fresh Crepes! The place could do with a facelift it feels old and unclean, NOT old and charming. They don't seem to value their customers, apparently they don’t need our business. So why should we support you getting your wages by eating there? That thought does not seem to cross their mind! It is such a shame because the location is great and the place has so much potential.

For anyone who's never tasted crepes in their life, I guess that it might be correct but will certainly not give you any addiction! As a crepe lover, I have to say that it was quite not what I expected; our crepes were chewy, thick and tasteless. As I asked the waitress who were the crepes made by, she answered that the cook was from South America, and I don't mean to offence anyone. It's just that a good crepe is a combination of things, such as quality flour, French butter, real milk and not powder, fresh eggs...I'm sure that some French guy might have done as worse as this cook, but I'm also confident that the creperie owner probably wants to do the maximum profit; he sure knows very well how to match the equation terrible food/prices!
As a Londoner, I will not go there again. As a tourist exhausted by hours of shopping, I might have been a bit blinded by tiredness...
Again you can not pretend to have a proper creperie if your ingredients, your recipe and your cook aren't what they should be.
