I heard a new Japanese restaurant which is pretty good opened in Angel, but I was just disappointed about the food.

We ordered noodles and karaage (chicken) set. Chicken was ok but miso soup and noodle soup are no taste. I don't think they know how to make japanese soups. It was just like hot water. Also service is too slow. I ordered Chicken and he ordered noodles. First of all only chicken came and when I finished eating finally noodles came. When we asked about noodles the waitress said yes... that's it. Then after 5 minutes she came up to us and said noodle is on the way. We don't think we come back again.

A real gem. Very busy the evening we were there. The food was delicious & there was lots of it. The staff were very attentive & helpful serving bowls of 'nibbles' before the food arrived. All in all, good value for money for real Japanese food & well presented. We paid £60 (for 4 people) & left the restaurant feeling pleasantly full. We will return.

Amongst the chain store style restaurants like Pizza Express and Caffe Uno, Tenshi is a hidden gem for sushi lovers and waistline conscious fashionistas. The menu is well-thought out and the food is absolutely delicious. If you love sushi and want to try something a little bit different head to Tenshi!

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 - I liked Tenshi's spicy tuna rolls. Nothing special. Just honest. Service is prompt and efficient, or at least it was when I was there. The atmosphere is VERY basic. This is really more of a take-out place. The good news about that, though, is they'll be open ALL the time...You can also have chicken katsu whenever you want, and this was a fine example. I'd eat it again. Good panko crust. I still like chicken katsu curry better, though. The Verdict: (Relatively) cheap fun. I'm sure I'll be back many times.
