Black cod AMAZING!!!! went there with parents and a friend, atmosphere a bit cold and noisy, but service very friendly and food very good. Menu is a bit short, they could have some more choice, and it is a bit expensive for what is it. Nevertheless, food is still good and that's what matter!

I went here for a lunch with my partner. We read some reviews saying to try the Blackened cod...and i would honestly strongly recommend this dish also. Although it was a bit sickening at the end (it is sweet), it was definately worth the money which we paid for it (£21). The chilli squid starter and chicken dumplings were exquisite!! The non-alcholic cocktails were fantastic, service was tip-top (although we went at lunch time when it was especially quiet). The pod-peas as starters are nothing special and would definately not recommend wasting your money on this. Overall, I was very happy with this food and experience!

I went to Eight over Eight for the first time with a friend who goes reguarly. What a super evening! I thoroughly recommend the crispy pork starter- my mouth is watering now just thinking of it! Exellent lighting, sounds superficial, but you will look flawless! Service was very good- perfect timing between courses...ooh and the chocolate pudding is a must (but I'm not such a fan of the green tea ice-cream that comes with it!) Young vibrant crowd.

It continually shines as a place to go out. I visit eight over eight fairly regularly and it never becomes a bore. The food, service and atmosphere are amongst the best in Chelsea. I had dinner last week although I usually only go for drinks and had a great time, the food was fantastic. Highly recommended.

I have been many times to eight over eight, as I used to really enjoy sister restaurant e&o, before it became impossible to get a reservation. Recently, however, the food and service at eight over eight has become erratic and sometimes downright farcical. Last night was probably the last time I will go, as a 9.30pm reservation ended up with two of us not getting any food for over an hour, and then only one plate of four dumplings, very overcooked and tasteless. Eventually we had to leave at 11pm, starving though we were, and the restaurant manager actually gave us a free bill without us even having to complain (does he already know that it's chaos?). On leaving we noticed that several tables were looking annoyed and were being profusely apologised to for the lack of food coming out of the kitchen. A victim of its own success perhaps?

I dined on friday night and I truly had a wonderful evening, I found the service to be efficent and friendly with out being in your face and the atmosphere was alive and buzzing, especially the bar.

The food was delicious I especially recommend the the crab salad, black cod and the hamaachi(sp). All in all a great nigt out.

Because of horrible and rude service I will not return to this place nor recommend it.

The waiters were rude, that white wine not chilled, starter was cold instead of hot, service was slow and with an 'attitude'.

The food is good (7), far from amazing as some of the reviews suggest, and the atmosphere is good as well.

Overall value for money is 6 in my humble opinion.

The chilli squid and prawn tempura are to die for. The black miso cod is equally delicious.
