Usually I'm not a big fan of Pan-Asian restaurants, as I prefer not to mix sushi with a green curry, but I do think that this place has managed to pull it off. I think that EoE's menu is skewed towards a menu which does complement the sushi/sashimi. I really enjoyed everything from the 'chili salt squid' to the 'beef yuzu koshu'. This place can be a little on the pricey side but probabaly has the best value for this selection of cuisine. If you would like to have a drink before or after there is a bar available at the front, which great for early arrivals. Definiteley a place to try.

My 1st night in London, my boyfriend's colleague made us a surprise reservation!

What a great start - as soon as we walked in, we were greeted and our coats were taken. We had about a 15 minute wait until our table would be ready so we ordered cocktails at the bar. I must say that they were a good first impression!

We ordered the spare ribs, pork belly and shared an entree. The food was absolutely amazing and the wine was a nice compliment. I will definitely recommend this to all of my friends traveling from the states! A must go!

I dined at Eight Over Eight last night and was thouroughly impressed with the place. We met in the bar first for a few cocktails from the imaginitive list before heading through to the restaurant. Dim sum were good, particularly the crispy pork belly. The chilli prawn and chicken salad was also a winner. The black cod was good, although definatley one to share as it could be a little sweet if you ate the whole thing!! Our waiter was attentive and helped guide us through the menu and wine list with ease.

Although this was our first time at Eight Over Eight, it certainly won't be our last!!!

We went to Eight over Eight on Friday night. The service was very good and the waitress very attentive, which was nice. Unfortunately the food was so dreadful that I left there feeling like I had not had dinner at all. I've had better dim sum at Ping Pong!!! And the black cod that everybody raves about was too sweet and lacked depth of flavour. The atmosphere was average, nothing to write home about. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Great atmosphere, slightly slow service but sublime food: delicious black cod, really succulent braised pork and great sashimi. I would go here again and again.

I love 8 Over 8 - fabulous atmosphere, very good service, good wine list and delicous food. The chilli salt squid is outstanding and the new addition of prawn and sea bass tempura with Chilli mayo is one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. Also fantastic pad thai and mouth watering ginger cheesecake.

8 Over 8 is one of my favourite restaurants world wide and Will Ricker deserves a gong for he has achieved! 10/10.

Awesome, been there many times and it never fails to impress. Black Cod is the real speciality there, although last night I had the Duck with Hoisin Paté accompanied by a Tiger beer.. unreal!! A very nice evening out, if a tiny bit expensive

Tried this on a recommendation with friends late(ish) on a Sunday evening. After cocktails in the front bar (from an imaginative and well-planned list), we took our seats in the dining room. I was told this used to be a rather down-at heel pub, which is difficult to envisage now. The atmosphere, lighting and decor are just right. A sophisticated, but unpretentious younger crowd, clearly here for the food. Scallops and sushi a highlight. Blackened cod also good, though expensive as always. Mouthwatering selections of sliced beef, pork, vegetables and noodles, presented faultlessly. Great wine list, although much of it at the steep end. Friendly, attentive, but appropriately laid back service -- we really were looked after very well.

Not a cheap evening out for what it is, but highly recommended.

Black cod AMAZING!!!! went there with parents and a friend, atmosphere a bit cold and noisy, but service very friendly and food very good. Menu is a bit short, they could have some more choice, and it is a bit expensive for what is it. Nevertheless, food is still good and that's what matter!

I went here for a lunch with my partner. We read some reviews saying to try the Blackened cod...and i would honestly strongly recommend this dish also. Although it was a bit sickening at the end (it is sweet), it was definately worth the money which we paid for it (£21). The chilli squid starter and chicken dumplings were exquisite!! The non-alcholic cocktails were fantastic, service was tip-top (although we went at lunch time when it was especially quiet). The pod-peas as starters are nothing special and would definately not recommend wasting your money on this. Overall, I was very happy with this food and experience!
