I've been to Jakarta several times and had their lunchtime menu and never been disappointed. My favourite dish (and of several friends) is the Kuzy Ayam, which I usually have with coconut rice or egg fried rice.
A lunchtime meal for four, with starters and drinks, usually comes to less than £35, and you'll come out completely full.
Service is usually quick and cheerful, the only complaint I'd have is that there's not much choice for desserts on the lunchtime menu, but then again I've not had room for any desserts in several visits now.

A friend insisted going to this restaurant though have eaten their before and been disappointed. Again disappointed. Again the food took an age to arrive and again greasy though this time not under cooked. The staff are great and try their best.......There are better indonesian restaurants in london.

Colindale needs a good restaurant. This is it.
Although Colindale has been my home of 7 years, I'll be the first to admit it needs something to fly the flag. Fortunately, someone has seen the sense to put this restaurant here. A welcome addition.
I can speak from ethnicity that the food is close to authentic and leave it at that. Particularly their curries. I order them whenever I can. Their menu is extensive and offers a range of dishes from the South East Asian region.
The staff are not pushy and appear at all the right moments.
The atmosphere didn't overimpress me, but it is very welcoming and most definitely a cut above the average. Acoustically it's actually very good, despite the tiled floor and hard(ish) furniture. This may be down to the approximate 1:1:2 form factor.
Particularly noteworthy was the bill. It is exceptionally good value relative to the quality of the experience delivered.
I realise this establishment is off the beaten track for many, but it's worth a visit if you're hungry and in the area. Highly recommended.

if thai, malaysian, singapore or indonesian food is your thing then you will not be disappointed. I live loacally and its nice to know there is a top class restaurant around the corner to get a take away or have a nice meal.
lunch time deal is brilliant. staff are friendly and you would never realise that you were in colindale being inside the restaurant takes you to another place totally!
would highly recommend :)

this place hasn't been reviewed in ages, maybe colindale isn't much of a dining destination? (ok its not much of a destination at all) however this restaurant is one of my favourites in the area, never had a bad meal here or a problem with service
listed as thai and yeah the menu has thai dishes but also a lot of really nice unusual things from indonesia and malaysia. beef rendang is delicious and kari ayam a malaysian chicken curry is very good too
give it a try especially if you live near, you will not be disappointed
