Great food every time. Service good - even when they're busy. Unique menu, not expensive, lots of veggie options. Parking outside - what more could ask for?

read reviews on this website and cannot believe it is the same restaurant as the one i went to.the food was greasy and undercooked and took 40 minutes from ordering to being served.the staff do their best but there is not enough of them to cope.really disappointed

One of the best restaurants we've ever been too.

Friend booked this restaurant for 12 of us as a surprise party for her boyfriend after seeing the good review on this site; we weren't disappointed. The staff were really warm and friendly, food was great and grate value for money. The menu was quite hard to follow so we opted for a set meal for 2 for £40. It came with delicious and generous starters, you're already half full by the time you finish with your starters. The main course was great, you can a beef, a chicken, a prawn dish, and a veggie, there're set dishes but you can change to different ones if you wanted, they're very flexible, but we didn't bothered. We loved them. The set menu also comes with dessert and tea/coffee, and a bottle of house wine!

The staff made us feel really welcome, we brought a birthday cake in, they stored it in the fridge for us and decorated with the candles that we brought.

Overall, we had a fantastic time, I highly recommend it, and can't wait to go back again!

I have dined at Jakarta twice and on both times the food has been excellent and the restaurant has a great ambience. Since I have order takeaways on two occasions from this restaurant and on both I found the food to be quite bland and not up to the good standard that I was expecting.

Absolutely superb restaurant, on Saturday and Sunday from midday until 6pm you can get 3 courses for £6.95, authentic food cooked by Inodnesians and Thais, really good stuff from someone who eats lots of authentic South East Asian Cuisine!

Absolutely fantastic. This restaurant is something else. I'm almost reluctant to add this review lest this hidden gem become known to the masses!

Jakarta!! Miles away from Malaysia but you bring the taste of both countries together. The food, the friendliness, the portion that is enough for 2 people and the affordable price just makes us want to go again and again. I would recommend this to anyone.

As a student, you get the best deal coming for lunch.A set lunch 3 course menu costed us £6 each exc service and drinks. It's not really pure indonesian - more like selected southeast asian dishes suited to Western palates. The dishes were tasty - although we liked the thai green curry the best.I found the beef rendang a bit dry.Tom Yum soup for starter is good too.My parents went here for dinner and were disappointed with the food though,so I guess you just have to try it out and see what you think.
