After reading the reviews I was hesitant to try here particularily as when I walked by it was quiet. However I was very suprised at a relaxing and enjoyable meal. My partner doesn't eat chill or pepper (tough ask at a Malaysian restaurant!) but the waiter checked and made arrangements with the chef to ensure that her meal was prepared to her requirements. We started with Roti Canai and spring rolls and the roti bread was fresh and hot and a very tasty curry to go with it. For mains we had beef rendang and chicken and blackbean sauce. Again the rendang was excellent large chunks of tender beef and a rich hot sauce. I am not a fan of rendang when it comes with too much gravy and this was perfect. The chicken and blackbean was sweet and delicious. The portion sizes were generous and my partner ended up taking what she could not eat home. Throw in some sides of rice, attentive friendly service and a bottle of fresh French white wine all for under £40 and we will certainly be back...

Sorry but still one of the least desirable Malaysian restaurants in London based on service, quality of food and the management who have little understanding on customer satisfaction and the fact that all the local competitors offer great food, are reasonably priced and some great atmospheres - Tukdin yesterday was loud with Malaysians but great fun and fantastic food.

A friend went to this restaurant when it first opened and told me about his bad experience but I thought I would give this place a couple of months to settle in before going for myself.

It looks like they haven't improved since opening day.

Service was very poor. The worst I've experience in London in fact - and thats saying alot ! Case in point was a waiter coming over and asking us if we were ready to order, only to never return !!

Food wise. Servings were small and portions of seafood were unsatisfactory. For example, my partner and I ordered prawn based dishes and only received THREE prawns each. I'm sorry but appetizers would come with more prawns than this!

Its a shame. I love my malaysian food (and there are plenty of options around paddington) but this place just didn't cut the mustard.

What a charming reastaurant, I only found it by accident because another restaurant I had intended to go to had closed. This restaurant has a very nice ambience, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I have been back a few times this month and brought friends who throughly enjoyed their time there.

I enjoyed the food, we are not rushed and the staff are always on hand when needed. What stands out for me personally is the cleanliness and atmosphere.

Great place for large groups. It is located in a quite location.

Bland food and very poor waitress service, argumentative, defensive and lacks any customer handling skills. Would not recommend anyone to visit as there are so many more restaurants in the area offering great Malaysian food, courteous service and they have a passion for what they do. Very clean and nice atmosphere but just not customer friendly or worth eating the food which is not very Malaysian tasting.
