Ate here with a group of friends recently on a Friday night. I emailed beforehand to let them know I am vegan and they were happy to adapt some vegetarian dishes to suit me. My food was really good and my friends food was good too. The only slight grumble we had was that the portion sizes of different dishes varied wildly. A fish & chips dish was a massive piece of fish and a shed load of chips piled high, while another fish dish was literally just a few small pieces of fish in sauce, no veg or chips etc served with it, leaving several diners a little hungry and one completely stuffed! The waiters should point out that side dishes need to be ordered separately for some dishes.
Service was friendly and quick.

Excellent. Great food, service, beer, and atmosphere. Stylish yet relaxed. Well looked after by Xavier.
A class above anything else in the area.
Would recommend the hake, especially with delicious crab meat.

Based on our visit last and reading the previous reviews things have improved.
I booked online for 2 people at 7pm on Saturday night, I phoned on the day to increase the number to 3, no one answered so I left a message. I was called back a few minutes later to confirm the request would not be a problem.
The service was very good through out, the waiter was attentive without being too pushy. The food was also good, I had steak but would try one of the fish dishes next time as the hake looked great.
I would say this is a welcome addition to Greenwich and will be visiting again soon.

We travelled across London to try this newcomer after hearing good things. Maybe we were unlucky as it was their first full weekend service, but we left feeling completely underwhelmed.
After we were seated, we were ignored for about 20 minutes and struggled to get the attention of the staff (who were monosyllabic if not mute throughout). My companion enjoyed his steak but, as he pointed out, it's hard to mess up a decent cut of meat. Chips were twice-cooked but not particularly enjoyable and our side of green beans went cold shortly after its arrival.
My dish of hake with leeks and fennel in a crab broth was the single most tasteless thing I have eaten this year. The fish itself was fine and there was some crab meat in the broth, but as to what gave it the reddish colour, I have no idea. It was underseasoned and almost entirely devoid of flavour.
Desserts of sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fondant were fine, if nothing special. Shame there wasn't anything more creative on offer - I can eat cheaper, better versions of both of those anywhere in London.
I hope it improves because the room itself looks great. We liked the beer bottles snaking across the ceiling and the terrace will certainly be popular in the summer. We wouldn't return but would recommend it to serious beer/ale drinkers rather than foodies.

I ate here at the 'soft launch' and had a fine night - the food was excellent.
More importantly, it was very refreshing to eat somewhere which doesn't exacerbate the amnesia which the English appear to suffer when it comes to the their own, often fine, food and drink traditions.
Meantime managed to make me feel genuinely proud and excited to be part of a brewing tradition in London. Beer certainly shouldn't be something you drink just to get you through a Friday night with colleagues - it should be a genuine pleasure. . . and that's what this venue promotes very stylishly.

I ate here with a group of friends pre-opening. I knew the beer would be good, (being a Meantime fan) but what surprised me most was the excellent quality of the food. The menu is interesting and the presentation of the dishes was excellent.
I had the smoked salmon with beetroot to start, which was lovely, but I wished I had chosen the chicken livers from the reaction of my fellow diners.
Main course was the hake served on fennel with a lovely crab broth. Imaginative and flavoursome and very filling - I would thoroughly recommend it. Friends chose the steak which was universally acclaimed.
Pudding was the melt in the mouth chocolate fondant. Wonderful.
The Old Brewery is still a bit hidden, but I'm sure it won't remain so for long.

A cool new destination accompanied by attentive service, original menu (incorporating some of the Meantime Beers themselves) and its very own onsite brewery as managed and run by Meantime.
We dined here last week in it's pre-launch week and were delighted to find an unexpectedly polished dining room.
The copper brewery vats at he end of the quadruple height room make this a hidden gem of a location.
Would be particularly good for a large group of diners.
Oh, and there is a great pub attached to the side if you fancy a couple of the Meantime beers to round off the evening

A wonderfully placed venue, surrounded by beautiful architecture, history and landscaped gardens to wonder around.
I say venue, due to the fact it has many uses. Restaurant/Bar/Cafe... however I had the pleasure of visiting the restaurant last week, with 4 colleagues.
Venturing to the bar for our pre dinner drink, as expected, so much choice, but we all opted for the in-house brewed Meantime. Yum.
The decor is traditional, with a modern edge. It has unique displays of beers from around the world, and an amazing display of bottles when you walk through to the main restaurant. Along with a rather interesting timeline which travels round the whole space.
The brewery tanks are to your right, and to be honest, it'd be hard to miss them. They are huge, with a new, and rather nice copper finish.
We are all pretty adventurous when it comes to food and drink, so we were more than happy to try a selection of the in-house brewed beers, and further selection of Meantime products - including the home made rye bread, which had great malty depth, however very tasty.
I followed a few too many beers with the Meantime cured Salmon, with watercress and a sharp Horseradish dip - tasty, well presented, and enough. Then the plaice, which was accompanied with a rather rich caper and butter jus over onion hash, but I'm all for full flavours.
I couldn't leave without having a dessert, so as a typical women, I had the hot Choc, melt in your mouth with clotted cream! Full, and bursting, but happy!
It's certainly a well run restaurant, which is hard to come by these days. With attentive staff, and surprisingly well trained in the world of beers. A walk from the main road, however, worth it, for a long evening of beautiful/unique interior surroundings, good food, wine, beer and conversations.
