My partner and I took my Grandmother to The Swan for her birthday on a recommendation from a friend. The food was beautiful. We had the pork and the steak which was cooked to perfection. The drinks were very reasonably priced with a lovely selection of wines on offer. It would be worth another visit just for the food alone. However we were served at our table by the assistant manager who insisted on calling my 76-year-old grandmother obscene names such as 'sexy' and 'gorgeous'. His mannor was rather unnerving and made us all feel very uncomfortable indeed. The over eager barman aside the pub is in a lovely location and we should very much wish to eat there again. But perhaps next time we shall opt out of the stomach churning table service.
