I've been here a couple of times. The food is good, if a little pricey. The service has always been excellent.

This place is excellent. We had our wedding reception here and the staff we an absolute delight. Food is great, if a little pricey. Not the place to go at the weekend if you don't like kids.

Went to The Victoria on a Wednesday for lunch. The food was simple and good, though not great. The place is also relatively child-friendly. However, what really kills the place is the service; it's not that it's rude, but rather incompetent. I don't want to think what it would be like on a weekend/evening. If service was better, it would be a great experience. As it stands, I'm not sure it's worth visiting it again.

Visited the victoria on bank holiday monday, admittedly not the best idea as the place was overun with familys with screaming kids. That wasnt really the problem. The service was terrible; very rude staff, mistake's with ordering, several requests just simply ignored by staff, and to top it off, food that wasn't worth the price. Just don't get me started on the decor in the bar area! Shame as has potenial to be soo much.

Went for a late supper over the bank holiday weekend and enjoyed every minute of it. Expensive for a gastro pub, I'd say more up market restaurant, but atmosphere, food and service great. And so nice to find somewhere off the high street!

Not quite sure what went on with the previous reviewers but we thought this was actually a very nice place for a relaxed bite. Service attentive, food very good, relaxed ambience. Well worth a visit.

We have come on many different occasions to The Victoria. The service has always been excellent, no matter what day of the week. It is wonderful to be able to walk with guests (business or private) to our local pub that is also a bar, restaurant and a hotel. There is always a good menu that offers the choice between pub-food and a more gastronomical experience.

AND, last but not least, the toilets are always clean!
