The Dovetail

I recently went here with a mate after a recently purchased groupon deal and I must say this was well worth the money spent. All three courses were fab! For starters we had the prawn salad and duck salad and both were out of the world. The prawns were succulent and juicy and the duck was cooked to perfection. For mains I had the posh fish and chips and my mate had Bison burger and I must add that this was the best fish and chips I've had in London and my mates Bison burger was really light and tasty. For dessert we both had waffles and ice cream which was nice but nothing to shout about. I will definitely be visiting them again and recommending this place and all and sundry.. Oh and in case I didnt mention they have a very large range of superb beers.

I must have been going to a different bar, reading these comments. I often arrange to meet girlfriends here - those that love beer - and we always have a great time.

The venue is totally different from the 'banging' bars in the area and we like being able to find a quiet table and sampling different beers. The burgers in my opinion are the best around.

Very friendly from the first sight, this restaurant/bar reveals its unfriendly and superior staff, banking on their "nice beer lover bar" reputation to exhort unacceptable prices from customers. The bar is often packed mad and you really feel like dirty cattle in a bar supposed to inspire finess and genuineness.

I wouldn't advise to go there.

The beer's great - of course- but our moules frites were pretty bad this time- cold and very unsatisfying. Always full of young designer types with amusing facial furniture yelling at each other. Service was fine and barman friendly though!
