Quite a nice resturant, though I didn't find the atmosphere particularly welcoming or relaxing.

Food was not bad, and quite a bit cheaper than the yo sushi chain but then its a bit more self service (help yourself to green tea)

I went here recently with friends who had recommended it as being reasonable and good, but was rather disappointed. Serving my own green tea doens't bother me (very authentic) and nor does a lack of explanation of how the place works, as I have lived in Japan. If I hadn't, however, I think I would find Kulu Kulu very unapproachable. More than that, the sushi just wasn't that good - even for reasonable prices. It fell apart when I dipped it in the soy sauce, and the choice going round the conveyor belt was very limited. The staff all seemed to be Indiann and not terribly bothered about anything. This place wasn't bad, it just wasn't amazing either.

Cheap and fresh food, especially the salmon! Recently discovered it as a good lunch spot close to office and have been back about twice per week since. Don't be expected to be seated. Find a spot and unless it's quite full, the staff will leave you alone to sit wherever you want. Unlimited fill of green tea and good variety of sushi, sashimi and cooked food on the conveyor belt!

I went to the South Kensington branch last night - it was really good. Every thing was fresh - I know cause he made my food in front of my eyes. The range of dishes was varied and it was also cheaper than most sushi reatuarants I have been to.However I did arrive early to get a seat but it got very busy as we were leaving. Its all about the food - don't count on any atmosphere.

Love this place! The sushi is fab, especially the prawn tempura hand rolls. The 45 minute rule is only at busy times ie lunch time and only if there are people waiting. I often make a special trip into town to come here and its sister restaurant near Regent Strret

My worst dining experience ever! Very rude waiter rushed us out without asking if we were finished first. The rule is you can only stay for 45 minutes. We had been there just a bit more than 30 minutes but an old guy with glasses just took our dishes away and told us our "time is up"! Will never ever go back again. Went there to enjoy food, but came out very disappointed.

I go to Kulu Kulu at least once a month. One of my favourite japanese sushi bar in london!! For reasonable priced sushi, this is definitely my 1st choice all the time. The atmosphere is great, especially you can have a look at the chef making those fresh sushi and handrolls. Oh..handroll, don't miss out the soft-shell crab handrolls, they are SUPERB!!!!

Others dishes like tofu, seaweed salad, deep fried salmon are extremely tasty. Writing this review makes me wanna go there now!

Highly recommended!!

Went here on a Saturday night with a couple of friends. Although it was quite busy there weren't many fresh dishes being added that frequently - many of the same dishes seemed to go round and round for ages so we ended up requesting dishes directly. When sushi chef disappeared for 20 minutes it was quite annoying. The food was tasty but the place lacked any kind of buzz; it certainly isn't anything like kaiten-sushi in Japan where chefs struggle to keep up with the demand.

The sushi at this place is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Other dishes such as tofu are also very good.
