Faultless fish and chips and as Italian run there are other great dishes and I even had a nice side salad.
The atmosphere is busy and friendly with a mix of old east enders, arty and young.
Service was quick and friendly.
Highly recommended.

Based on a recommendation from a friend, we thought we would give this restaurant a try. We were promptly seated however it was downhill from there onwards. The fish we ordered was average but passable. The chips looked and tasted as though it had been cooked in the afternoon and microwaved prior to serving. The most disappointing part of the night was that the waitress and, from what I believe to be the owner, were extremely rude.
I have promised myself never to return.

We went for an early meal - 6.30 - having been to a show. We were seated promptly. The place was buzzing and remained like that the whole hour and a half we were there. Lots of family groups. A chef wandered round at one point chatting to customers and regular customers were greeted with kisses and handshakes. The food was excellent. For starters we had whitebait and a prawn and lobster meat salad with pineapple which was yummy. My husband had skate and I had mullet with mouli and butternut squash in a mint mayonnaise. I was quite full but could not resist the amaretto creme brulee which was fantastic. Hubbie stuck to his normal ice cream. We had some of the most expensive things on the menu and it was £60 including a soft drink and a bottle of white wine. We'll definitely return.

Took my boyfriend and future mother-in-law who are both massive fish fans and know their stuff. We were all blown away by the quality of the food and size of the portions. Two of us had two courses and one three (including 6 oysters) and we had one bottle of wine and two coffees all for £20 each! Fantastic value and beautifully cooked fish. Try the onion rings we regretted not having a portion although there is no way we would have been able to eat them! Very strange location, in the middle of nowhere but well worth the walk from the tube, we will return, a hidden gem!

I used to go to this place when i was younger, but after a bad bag of fish & chips one evening i've been going someplace else ever since.
However, I decided that I'd give it another go. Went in their and ordered Skate & chips. There wasn't any made so it was being cooked fresh, had to wait about 10-15mins.
Got home and the skate wing was huge and chips plentiful. The skate was delish, white as snow and tasty.
The only thing I'll say to the chefs is to drian the fish and chips abit better, its abit too oily...........i know thats what fish and chips is about but a minutes more draining would make alot of difference!

Having booked a table at Fish Central we turned up at the appointed time and were told to "wait for a moment". After 15min of standing at the door and at glancing hopefully at at least six empty tables and being completely ignored by the staff we left. The food looked good though I'm not sure anything was worth suffering the staff for.

Amazing fish, great selection, super fresh.
Avoid the starters, a bit rubbish except the sardines.
Decent wine selection also.
I would highly recommend this place.

We went here on Saturday and had a really great time. We had to wait a bit for our table but we weren't forgotten - we were offered a drink and then received some fish cakes on the house! The dishes are excellent quality and very good value for money. There were four of us and we went all out - three courses, beer, wine, coffees and cognac(!). All for under £25 per person (including tip) There is a very friendly atmosphere in the restaurant and a place we will definitely be re-visiting. If only we'd found out about this place earlier!

My 2 colleagues and I went to the restaurant last Monday it was the best fish and chips in the whole wide world, and very good value too.
The wine was also lovely, and very reasonable.
Can't wait to go again
