Broadway Place Fish Bar

I usually order take away here but met up for lunch with a mate and we were both happy with our cod and chips !
London chippies are not usually that great but I reckon Broadway Place could hold its own if it relocated to the North !

Have been here over fifty times and can't remember one bad meal. Our most regular restaurant and and first choice of many fish and chip shops for us. The cod is superbly cooked and always fresh. However usually quite busy so slight hesitation in sending this review in case it produces additional queues.

The best Fish and Chips!! The fish melts in your mouth and isnt greasy, I also love the chicken they do. The chips are the best and not greasy. The portions are massive so go there on a empty stomach.
They have a drinks licence so I always get a bottle of white. But best of all the service is quick and friendly and it is very reasonable so it wont break the bank, but you would have had a nice meal out!!

Very tasty, cheap and cheerful. Decor is very dated though, but what do you expect from a fish & chip restaurant?

Excellent fish 'n chips. Lots of different choices such as skate wings (just perfect), rock and sole.
It's really nice to be able to buy a bottle of wine too (some nice Turkish stuff). The only downside is the '80s decor - lovely if you like cream and brown with bright overhead lights!
However the service is excellent and like I said, the food is bang-on without being too expensive. The £20 per head listed is probably a bit high - I'd say £15 p/h with wine is more realistic.

Hey, I went to south London for a gig last friday and stopped off at this place. Never do I post in on sites like these but it has to be done. Quite simply the nicest meal I have ever had. Im not a biggie on takeaways but this was absolutely amazing. The staff was friendly also. The price was a bit high but it was definately worth the money. Fully recommended!

Absolutely amazing place for fish and chips. Have been here a number of times and each time the meal has been top notch. The selection of fish is excellent and the batter is always just perfect. The chips are not the best ever but still quite good. However, the piece de resistance is the prawn tails and scampi starter which comes steaming hot with tartare sauce. The atmosphere is quaint and the service is very friendly and quick. Overall a great experience - Highly recommended.
