Spaghetti House (Cranbourn St)

Very busy on a Friday night as expected but were found a table within a couple of minutes. It was a bit cramped where we were sat, in an alcove too close to the adjacent table for my liking but it was quite cosy.
The food was good, interesting amount of choice on the menu. Strangely enough, it would be good to see more spaghetti dishes available! Went for a mushroom and pancake thing which was very tasty and filling.
"Real" vegetarian options are thin on the ground (i.e dishes which don't contain fish).
Service was good, waiter was friendly. Another reviewer said that the tip was written on their bill - it wasn't on ours which is always appreciated.
There's an unfortunate drain smell outside this restaurant. But don't let that put you off, it's a nice place and I would go again.

Without doubt, the meal I had at your restaurant was the worst in my entire life. We were initially greeted by an uninterested and obviously unhappy waitress. She pointed to a vacant table, where we sat, she then disappeared for what seams like ages. Upon arriving back to us, she was short, curt and wholly unhelpful. I could spend ages complaining about the service, but I need to move on to the food.
I ordered a straight forward pizza, which I assumed no body could mess up, when it eventually arrived it was cold, I sent it back, the pizza which replaced it was hot, but the sauce was so watery it could been poured in to a bowl and used as soup. As well as the watery soup, the sea food topping was awful, I cut my losses and decided to skip any food from this terrible restaurant and refused to [ay the bill.
Many thanks for spoiling my night.

Went here for a meal with the wife and wouldnt go back. Wine came in a glass decanter which didnt convince me it was fresh and unopened. It tasted very watered down and not worth the £14 a bottle. Food was poor, Lasagne had layers of pasta and little meat, as a result I left the restaurant hungry.
To top it off they add in the suggested tip to all bills, almost like pressuring you to give 10% - 15% regardless of what you think about the food.

spot on. the restaurant was busy yet we were seated and served promptly. 3 courses plus a full bottle of wine in the heart of theaterland for under £60 is brilliant in my opinion and the food was great. A wonderful bruschetta, perfect pasta and great ice cream. My girlfriend found plenty of vegetarian choice and i was excited by the choice of meaty dishes. the veal was perfect. amusing to hear our cockney waiters faux italian accent but that added to the experience. worth dropping by when you've got to eat in an area where finding a seat to eat can be far more trouble than is worth the effort.
