Eat Tokyo

While Eat Tokyo is certainly small and not particularly attractive when compared to some of the more popular Japanese restaurants in London, it has BY FAR some of the best japanese food I've come across in this city. Their tempura is perfectly crisp, their miso soup is wonderful, the sake selection is brilliant... even at 11 pm, the sushi still tasted fresh and delicious. The staff are very polite, and food was well presented and quickly served. On top of all this, Eat Tokyo seems to specialise in take-away (though they don't deliver). I've eaten there once, and it's already my favourite place to get my Japanese food fix. Absolutely the closest London has come to matching the quality of food in Japan itself.

this is a great place, small, fairly priced, dingy, but best of all, sparkling fresh. the authentic stuff.
service was pretty lame, and the waitress didn't understand a word I said and didn't deal with our order with any kind of grace or positive energy.
notting hill needs tokyo eat. all the other japanese places are bogus overpriced floppy fish nonsense.
long may it prosper.
