Okawari

I was relieved to find a nice restaurant that offered Japanese food. Escaping from my usual journeys to the supermarket for a quick sandwich bite I wanted to feed my craving for Sushi and hot Japanese meals. Okawari is one of the closest restaurants that was near to where I worked so I thought I'd give it a go. Some of the Bento box and Sushi sets are expensive and include service charge, which may be expected with Japanese cuisine. The food is still pretty good nonetheless. Even though the staff are non-Japanese the service by the staff is quick and efficient.
This Okawari branch is worth visiting if you need to feast your hunger on Japanese food or sushi in the Ealing area.

Fantastic place!
I go here at least once a week and have introduced many friends and family members to it- many of whom have insisted they don't like Japanese but have returned very willing many times once trying it. The service is great, food very reasonable and tasty, always busy, does a great lunch menu for £5 and is open all day fri-sun. Highly recommended!

We loved this place. The menu is comparable to The Hare and Tortoise by Ealing Broadway station, but better for vegetarians and with a far more laid back atmosphere. I like the way no-one can see your legs if you sit at the sunken tables at the back, good for playing footsie. Comfy seats too.
We had dumplings for starters, yum! And pork curry and deep fried tofu with beansprouts and miso soup for mains. Generous portions, we left feeling very full in a healthy kind of way. The staff were efficient, swiftly removing plates and pouring drinks. Nothing to complain about, and lots to like. We're going to try the Bento Boxes next time, they looked like a whole boxful of fun.

Love this place. Since moving to Ealing have visited on numerous occasions. The sashimi is to die for, very good quality. There is also a good vegetarian choice, sometimes dificult in a Japanese restaurant.
Have taken many friends from out of town and it is now the main reason they come back to visit!
As with all Japanese restaurants, the service is low key, almost to the point where you have to grab them as they walk past. The sunken tables at the back are great, but, equally for 2, the bar in front of the sushi chef is a good spot.
Always recommend this spot and have many satisfied friends!

Brilliant place!!
The food was really delicious and what's even better is that it was great value. Best tables to book are at the back (6 or more).
Service is absolutely brilliant. Very friendly staff. Recommended a few other people there and they loved it too!
It is really difficult to find a good place to dine in China Town, because there are so many to choose from. But I really enjoyed it.

We've been living in Ealing area for a while now and love this restaurant from the first time. Try to go once a month as the food is delicious, the staff is nice and the prices are pretty good! (never get overcharged though...if you check the prices before your order than it couldn't happen!)Have to admit if you're not there with a group and spend a lot they want you out after 45 minutes! Politely of course...but still love it!!!

The food here is wonderful, and I like the atmosphere and ambiance, especially the seating. Try the curries for a truly unique dish.My one complaint, which does sour my experience, is that the bill isn't itemised, and just has a total, and I have been overcharged the last 3 times I have been. Last time I left a very generous tip and was told I hadn't left enough money--terrible.
