Came here for a long overdue family meal with my cousin and his wife and grown up kids. I have to say that the food was excellent, though I'm afraid I was a bit taken aback that they did neither serve alcohol nor allow BYO.
I guess I was expecting a more 'lively' evening. The area in which its located is very close to my old residence in harlesden, and I have to say that it seemed a bit unsafe and uncomfortable when I went for a cigarette a few times and was both offered class a drugs and propositoned for what appeared to be, em...how do I put it? Paid company of the carnal variety...
But, none of this put me off the succulent grilled lamb and chicken in various forms. It was the best Persian food I have had in london. The bread was deliciously fresh and the rice fluffy buttery and fragrant. My cousins took a doggy bag much to my chagrin as I secretly wanted to take the juicy meat leftovers home to scoff along with an ice cold beer!
I would love it if an outpost of this place opened in my neck of the woods, and if they would allow byo I would be there on a weekly basis! Venue was nice but I have to knock a couple points off for location and booze lack...
