Dragon King is certainly not a ideal place to dine in if u are in a good mood for some good food.

The fountain at the front door smells and it looks like it have been there without cleaning up for a decade. Even the water looks dark in color.

Receptionist.. well, why having a receptionist who dont even know simple english??

So-called manager... her voice is louder then the music speaker.. It really piss me off having someone shouting and yelling when i was trying to have a peaceful dinner. It's really RUDE!!

Service... SUCKS!! I have to wait for half an hour for my glass of coke. My waitress stared at me with a big ?? when all i asking for was a bottle of soy sauce. Wondering how come the management hire those people who dont even understand very very simple english??

Food.. certainly not value for money. Crispy duck is not fresh at all.. Should be call Dry Duck.

I wouldnt be stepping inside that restaurant even for free.

Dragon king is only going to be a good experience if you plan on going with a LOT of friends and plan on having an eating contest.

The food itself is not great, the variety is not great and as its a buffet you'll always find that one thing you really want to eat finished

If you're seated in the back it can be a bit of a mission going back and forth to get you plate topped up.

Its quite busy if you go during the evnning and it can be a bit annoying having to wait for the person infront of you to finish serving themselves.

As for the service, well..there is no service unless you order a drink.

Though its around £15 a head due to the quality of the food and the taste I think its definetly not value for money.

I would not go again.

Before we even entered the place we had an idea of what’s coming. The outside was decorated with red lanterns and lion statues, and the entrance was a mock-up of a Chinese ornamental gate. We were greeted by a waiter standing next to a water fountain, who led us into a darkened area upon a platform (whose idea was it to have tables not on the same level as the buffet?!). The whole red and green theme screamed traditional China and probably confuses many a people into believing “Wow, it’s like we’re in China!” but to others it may seem a little OTT.

The lunch buffet selection seemed severely limited and unusually skewed towards serving vegetarians than other Oriental buffets (who tends to dismiss them entirely). The majority of the dishes involved chicken or beef in one form or another, none of the seafood or dim sum the website claimed appeared to be in sight (perhaps they were reserved for the dinner buffet?). The food that was there was fine, despite being unexciting. The Chinese style spare ribs and the chilli chicken were slightly above the rest, while the lemon chicken tasted suspiciously like KFC(!) All the food had helpful little labels above them and some a listing of their ingredients (unnecessary, but I found it a considerate gesture). The drinks selection is what you would expect from such a place – overpriced. Fortunately, their desserts table redeemed them: ice creams, fruit salads, jellies and banoffee pie (always a classic).

The staff were helpful and efficient, the bar always had someone on call and everyone seemed so eager to please that you can’t help but tip them despite it being all self-serviced. We came out stuffed and pleased at the deal we got, definitely good value for money and I’d come back again next time we’re in the area. Since it’s conveniently next to Park Royal Station and the Vue Cinema, that might be in the not-so-distant future. Recommended for price.

Dragon King is the best Chinese Restaurant that I've ever eaten from. The service is great, and the food is the best. When I lived in London I use to go from South Bermondsey to Park Royale for dinner, because I enjoyed the food and service so much. I have since returned to my country, but I will visit London September 2006. When I visit London in September, I will definitely eat at Dragon King a few times before I leave. I have recommended it to everyone I know, and those that have tried it, have all agreed with me.

Excellent buffet restaurant, really friendly staff and atmosphere. Surprised with the wide selection of foods, which included prawns and mussels. Really good value for money, would definately go again.
