I and my partner had the vegetarian tasting menu.
This is what we were served: edamame, avocado gyoza, vegetarian sushi - 3 green cucumber, 3 mixed salad and pickles, skewered vegetables - asparagus, tomato and mushroom, vegetable tempura, tofu and pak choi in teriyaki sauce with steamed rice
The first 3 were pleasant enough although you can't really go wrong with edamame. The vegetables were uninspired and frankly verging on burnt. They tasted like they had been left on a barbeque too long and I could do better myself. There was nothing wrong with the tempura but no better than I have experienced in many lesser Japanese restaurants. The tofu and pak choi- I'm not sure if the waiter misinformed us but the sauce tasted nothing like teriyaki. To be honest it tasted like Bisto gravy - not a traditional Japanese flavour!
I was deeply disappointed and angry with the quality of food, particularly as it was supposed to value at £116. I have received better value and quality at numerous other restaurants and where the cost of the ingredients is so significantly lower than the price (the vegetarian options would be much cheaper than the fish) I would expect to see a much better depth and range of flavour.
Overall the service was good and the waiters attentive but I left with a bitter taste and feeling like we were ripped off.

Went there last week with 2 friends. I had a '7-course taster menu for 2 voucher' bought online for £52 and thought I'd use it at the same time. Upon booking they were very friendly and keep saying the voucher is for 2 people not for 3 (of course I know and I was prepared to order more food anyways)
Nice restaurant, very high-end. Made us feel welcome on arrival. However they again reinforce that we have to order at least an extra starter and maincourse for the third person. Nowhere in the menu specifies which are starters and which ones are maincourse but anyways we ordered a sashimi set and some lamp chops.
FOOD IS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. very small portions, 7 course taster menu is not enough for 2 people. NOT TRADITIONAL JAPANESE FOOD - as if food were made by amateur cooks. been very let down by 'chirashi' thought it was a bowl of rice with varity of sashimi on it but NO, their chirashi is just a two types of fish in a roll. LOL the rest of the food does not live up to the price.
If you are looking for quality japanese food - don't go there. However if you have money to spare and wanted a nice evening out with good atmosphere (not food) then do pay a visit.
I myself will not waste any money to come here anymore

My partner and I had a discounted opportunity to go to Kyashii a year or so ago when they first opened. Although it was quiet the food was fantastic and the service very good. It was well worth the visit.
However, we went back there a few weeks ago. Before arriving we noticed the price for the 7 course taster menu had gone down in price which gave us slight concerns, which we were right to have.
Can't exactly put my finger on it but it had loast some of its sparkle and certainly something was different about the food being served. I don't know whether they are using different ingredients or there is a different manager or head chef but it wasn't as wow as the first time we went.
The restaurant again was very quiet at midday and didn't have any other diners when we left at about 130pm. I think its unfortunate that the restaurant is tucked under a bridge and so people are likely to miss it.
I'm afraid to say, especially for your money, there are better places with atmosphere and fresher food, to go for your Japanese cuisine.

Been here a few times and really love it. Food is great and the ambience and service even better. Friendly staff and a good drinks menu also. Be sure to check out the private dining rooms.

Overall the food was ok, but is massively overpriced for what it is; certainly not worth the money we paid for it. The service itself was ok, but the management managed to screw up our reservation and spoiled the whole experience for us.
You can have a much better meal / experience with that kind of budget.

This is one of those restaraunts that feels very high end. from the minute you step in you know that you will have to part with lots of money. Everything from the front doorman to the cloak room lady making you feel special.
Despite the waiter being very nice and talkative the problem we found that the waiters at this establishment are too intrusive. We and my partner were having a private conversation albeit abit loud and the waiter stood next to us right through our meal. We had hardly finished our dish when he stuck his hand out to remove the plate. Feeling embarassed we let the last bit of sushi go. Also another annoying thing is the waiters despite being very presentable have no proper training. When we were presented with our dishes he had no idea what the item was. The other thing was that our waiter kept interferring with our conversation, we ignored him a few times but he didn't get the point.
Next coming to the decor. The restaurant thas a very clean and clinical feel to it. It looks double the size it really is by using mirrors on side walls so all the chairs and tables are relfected giving you a spacious feel.
Food - The sushi and the sashimi are well below average. The speciality rolls are smaller than what you get at a cheap supermarket and the sashimi despite being served on a ton of ice which looks really nice but tastes below average. The other dishes were quite ok and in fact we did enjoy them.
Bill. This is where I feel this restaurant will never get repeat business. The problem is I think the staff have been told to try and make as much money out of the customer. We had specifically asked for tap water towards the end of the meal and despite being given tap water we were charged 5.50 for a jug of tap water. Service charge is charged fully to the bill and we found other small things like they charged for 4 miso soups when we only had 2 .
Overall we had to let the bill go as we felt embarrassed asking for an explaination. We felt they restaurant has cheated us.

Terrible dining experience. Nothing inventive in this basic cuisine: edamame, picke nigri, chicken and salmon skewers, chicken terryaki. Menu very expensive (52 pounds each without drinks!!). Service amateur and slow. Cold and snobby decor. Overpriced . Just avoid !!

Me and my partner visited Kyashii last night for his birthday.... one word... AMAZING.
I couldn't decide where to go and thoroughly researced my options. We arrived at 8 and was asked if the would like to visit the upstairs bar whilst the table is prepared. The cocktails were superb... I started off with Champagne cocktail but was later recommended at dinner to try the 'Japanese assassin' and WOW what a drink!! We ended up working our way through 6-7 throughout the night.
We ordered alot of food... including eel skewers which were quite frankly one of the nicest dishs I have ever tasted. A mixture of Sashimi... Nigiri and Sushi... all superb. The lobster tail and fillet beef strips were full of flavour. I could go on forever about the food as it was all perfect.
The service was sublime... friendly and attentive. Hubert was our waiter and he was knowledgable... very nice and outstanding service. Little things like being given 2 cocktails on the house made things even more special. We stayed after for drinks in the bar inwhich we experienced some outstanding shooters.
Just utterly amazing... Decor, food, drinks and service. By far the best restaurant I have visited. I could not rate them any higher.

Horrible is close to describing this dining "experience". The food was worse then anything I've had in London.
25 minutes for 1 coke and 1 bottle of sake to arrive at our table, after we asked 3 different servers. The second order was completely forgotten, even though we asked again and joked about the "forgetful wait staff"
We paid £265 plus the required gratuity, so almost £300 for this meal, I'd have been happier YoSushi!
£35 for a Sashimi platter that had absolutely ZERO taste, I didn't mind paying the £35 for this platter, however the disappointment in the complete lack of taste was just the start of a depressing meal.
Frustration over the complete lack of "service" provided
The remainder of the food was below mediocre, the servind sizes were a joke, main meals were basically starter sizes.
Never again! Kyashii has seen the last of this Sushi eater!

Absolutely awful - coming from an Englishman who has been brought up in East London. Listen to other bad reviews, they speak the truth. I am ashamed for the Japanese owner and I wasted a few £100s for nothing. Not all 'famous' people who have visited it have the finest taste buds on earth. Do not waste your time/effort/money/space on this place.
Lots of good Japanese restaurants in London...definitely not this one. It may be argued that Yo! Sushi can be even better than this restaurant.
