I've eaten at Terra on several previous occasions and always look forward to it. The food is well-prepared, generous and above all, full of flavour. Our party of seven were served with professional courtesy but without being too intrusive. The wine was good too and such excellent value. I would highly recommend this Mediterranean-themed restaurant for an intimate dinner in very pleasant surroundings and very reasonably priced.

Recently had the pleasure of dining at Terra and it was a pleasure indeed. Food was excellent, atmosphere was jovial, service was good and prices were quite reasonable. Overall excellent value for money.
Our table (of 3) shared the Haloumi and Hummus starters, both good. I had Duck Fillet for main course and this was exceptional. The Duck was succulent, flavor was excellent and it was well presented without being extravagant. The rest of my party were also well satisfied with their choices, though I cannot remember what they were. Servings were decent but not too big.
The lady who served us (presumably the owner and/or manager) was very friendly and took great care of us. Overall service was good, although towards the end of the night a little bit tired.
My overall impression of Terra was an excellent dining experience, yet unpretentious. Just the kind of restaurant I could go back to many times.

After reading the rave reviews I went here last night. Nice atmosphere, great service - food is average. I'm really into restaurants and good food - this seemed like it was pre-packed and definitely not fresh ingredients. Edible but never again. The menu looked fantastic with something for everyone and as the prices aren't ridiculous you think you're getting a bargain. In London now there are so many good value restaurants with excellent food - really don't bother with this one.

I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend on Friday. I was expecting something pretty amazing - especially considering the rave reviews it's had of late. I have to say, though, I was quite underwhelmed by the whole experience. First of all, the food was good. I'm not disputing that. However, it certainly didn't live up to the things people have said about it. It was the kind of food that you could probably find in many other restaurants in the same price band. It's also the kind of food you could knock up at home on a good night. We had the goats cheese and the haloumi to start with and followed up with the duck fillets and prawn risotto. It was pretty good, but it didn't make me fall off my chair!
The quality of service has also been praised highly on this site. I also think this has been exagerrated somewhat. The serive was fine for the first hour or so. However, we had to wait for ages to get a dessert menu. When it arrived and we'd chosen what we wanted, it took half-an-hour to get the waitresses attention. By the time she came over, we were both tired and decided to get the bill instead!
I'm not sure whether we had a different experience here or whether people's view of a good meal is just distorted! Either way, it didn't live up to the incredible praise it's had here.
All in all, good fresh food - just don't believe the hype!

Went to Terra on Saturday night on the 3 courses for £14.95. What amazing value. There were several choices for each course and I could easily have picked any of the options! Waitress for very friendly and the whole group thought that the food was exquisite. Will definitely go back again and recommend it to others.

Fantastic food with great service and value. Despite being 30 minutes late for our reservation (due to tube line station closures) the staff were welcoming and accommodating. Our evening improved dramatically from the point we arrived... we both chose a evening specialty... lamb medallions and chicken on couscous.
They were delicious! Along with our glasses of wine and a gratuity our entire cheque came to only £32... fantastic! We will definitely return during our next visit to London.

I know Terra well and dine there about twice a month. We also use it for work functions and parties. I have to admit I love it! The food is great, with something for everyone. What makes this place special is the service. It is fab; the staff are polite, friendly and really make you feel welcome.
If you fancy something different try the sambuca flaming dessert but remember to let it burn out before eating - we forgot once!
HIghly recommend.

I ate at Terra yesterday evening. I wouldn't rave about it, like some on here have done, but it was above average and fair value for central London. Having said that, it is a little off the beaten track, so it's not as though they could justify higher prices due to location.
My girlfriend and I both had baby squid starters. The squid was overcooked and tough, with hard, charred tentacles. Not a good start. I should really have sent it back, however my girlfriend was quite happy with hers and I thought I'd look daft sending only one of these identical plates back. Anyway, my problem, I should have just sent it back. The accompanying salad was tasteless, the chilli dressing tasting merely of dull heat.
For main course, I chose seafood risotto. This tasted great, full of flavour and lots of fish. Some of the mussels arranged on the top of the dish were tightly closed and therefore inedible, which marred an otherwise lovely dish. My girlfriend had lamb burger, which was fine but nothing special, just a couple of lamb patties piled inelegantly on top of some mashed potato.
Desserts of tiramisu and pana cotta were nice enough, although I couldn't taste any Tia Maria in my tiramisu.
With a bottle of drinkable house white, the bill came to £50 between us, which was fair. I have to say I've had much better-cooked meals for a similar price, which is why I wasn't as blown away as some people have been.
Service was very well-paced and courteous. We neither felt like we were waiting ages for food to come, nor like we were being rushed. In this respect, the place is perfect.
Terra isn't a restaurant I'd rush back to, but if you're in the area and fancy a bite to eat, it's a pretty good option.

Terra is a great find in London. The service was excellent and the food was tasty.Nice atmosphere and surroundings. We felt like we were on holiday ! One meal was wrong ,but without question another was quickly cooked and by way of apology my wife was given her coffee on the house. Our 2 courses and botle of mineral water came to £26.00...and that wasn't even on a TT deal. Highly recommended.
