I had an excellent lunch there this week, albeit on a tiny table that did not fit three people and two trays of oysters.
For future reference, my guests raised doubts about the provenance of the Colchester Native oysters which, in spite of reassurance from the staff, did not convince them as to either taste or shape. Knowing nothing of oysters, I can cast no further light on that particular matter, but I have scored the food as a seven for that reason.
For my part, the fish soup, steak tartare and chips were as delicious as ever.

Still the best restaurant in London, even when not sitting at one of the best tables. Faultless and seemingly effortless - all present and future restaurateurs should be forced to have a meal there to see how it is done.

Ate here on Sunday 15 Nov for a late lunch. We were sat in one of the balconies and felt it was the best seat in the restaurant. Restaurant was really buzzing. Started off with Bloody Mary's in the bar, fab. Service was great, really friendly attentive waiters. Delicious food. Lovely wine. Loved it.

I took my girlfriend to the Wolseley on Saturday 14th Nov.
It was recommended to me and was impressed when i walked in. I will say though for what is considered as a top restaurant the service was appaling. The people on reception were fine but when we got to our table the waiter was obnoxious and turned his nose up when i asked him about items on the menu. I was quite taken aback by this as opinions on food are always different but that was very good but people like different things but good service doesnt cost a thing and i would certainly never visit this place again. I never normally leave a review but i would be pretty upset if i had saved up to treat my girlfriend.
Cant fault the food though but had thought a restaurant of that calibre would have exceptional service.

I've now been to The Wolseley for afternoon tea, Sunday lunch and mid week dinner and enjoyed each experience. The service, food and wine are consistently good. The building is beautiful and there is always a great buzz in the restaurant.

Simply one of the best restaurants in town, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great service and superb food that is not fussy. It is all down to exemplary management, and no-one does it better than Messrs Corbin and King. If only the rest of London's restaurants could put into practice just occasionally half of what the Wolseley (and St Alban) deliver every day.

Fantastic simple food, lots of choice, light or hearty mains. Tip, there is a selection of tables, which are non bookable, so you can arrive and wait for a table. Sat night was busy - where in london is not busy but the good thing is we were seated after some drinks at the bar. Atmosphere is buzzing...i ve been here for afternoon tea, dinner...£130 for 3, with pre dinner drink each, bottle of wine, mains and 2 desserts to share...

Our family of four had lunch here to celebrate my husband's retirement. We have been a few times now and have never been disappointed. We were up of one of the little balconies which we like although service can be a little slower. It wasn't a problem as we were looking for a relaxed unhurried lunch.
We arrived early and were pleased to be able to sit down straight away. The food was as reliable as ever. It's not haute cuisine but good, simple dishes cooked well. Service was friendly and helpful. It's not cheap but it's a great place for a special occasion. Can't wait to go back!

We had dinner at The Wolseley last night in a party of four. The venue is indeed beautiful and grand, which contributes to the pleasant dining experience. The staff was very friendly and polite: they noticed we had been exchanging gifts, confirmed it was a birthday celebration and brought a "happy birthday"-tagged desert to me, for free. This degree of friendliness is rather unusual for London's standards, I have to say.
I agree that the food is not exceptional: it is very good, but not amazing. The prices, however, are quite steep: the wiener schnitzel comes without any sides whatsoever (not even fries) and costs 19 pounds... The wines, fortunately, are reasonably priced.
All in all we had a very pleasant night, and I would recommend it for special occasions.

If you're not bothered about the quality of food that you're served and you ache to see some daytime TV calibre celebrities, this place is for you. I wish I'd read the reviews here before I'd booked a table, it was a huge disappointment. Every dish was poor.
