Thursday, April 14, 2011 - We ordered Grilled British steak with chipotle salsa - three small tacos topped with the steak. These were good, the steak juicy and rare, the chipotle zingy, and each taco happily enfolded its topping before being popped into the mouth. Less easy to eat were Tostadas of Chicken guajillo. The chunks of marinated chicken, lettuce, guacamole and smoky guajillo oil were piled high on the tostadas and when bitten half the toppings went up my nose, while the other half tumbled in pieces back down onto the plate. A bit bland too, but then chicken breast often is. The spicy sauces on the table helped take care of that though.

I wanted to complain at first but decided to be fair and honest. Considering there was only one waiter doing marathon around the restaurant serving many tables, I am content by the length of time I was served.

Wonderful! I visited the Wahaca location in Soho this evening and had the most amazing meal. Spicy and scrumptious - every bite was a delight! Tasha was our server this evening and couldn't have been a better guide to lead us through a Mexican taste sensation. We like our food spicy and she helped us navigate our way through the menu and find the perfect dishes that rival the best we've encountered in Mexico. Polite and helpful, delivering every dish with a smile. This was by far the best service I've received in London. I'll go back time and time again, looking forward to my favorites: the micheladas and the chorizo quesadillas amongst other amazing fantastic dishes. What else can I say? Ole!

I love this place so much I took my mum there last week! Our waiter was called Taher and he guided through the amazing food and kept the service top notch. And, as we all know, a place is best judged by its' toilets! 10 out of 10 for Wahaca.

Tried the Soho Wahaca for the first time and was served by Marcus. He was extremely helpful when it came to recommending certain foods (due to not liking too spicy) With that in mind Marcus suggested to have the sauce on a side dish which I would have never thought they could do! Always made sure we were ok and enjoying the food and was very friendly creating a good experience. If your served your server by this guy you won't be dissapointed!

Nice environment but the place given it is new looks really tatty.

The guy who served us was miserable, rude and clearly not enjoying doing what he does! The food arrives bit by bit, disappointing, really overpowered by cheese, not very warm and not what I would call street food.

Sitting next to serving counter didn't help as you could see have little care they put into it and just how long this stay there without being given to the paying customer.

Our waiter Taher was amazing even though our food was delayed, he over compensated for this with his generosity, attentiveness and warmth. Great atmosphere, vibe and food.

You must come here! From the welcoming smile, from probably the best waiter in London (Taher) to the flavoursome food EVERYTHING was amazing. Our food and service was second to none and we go home very satisfied on this Sunday evening. Thank you mexico and thank you Taher.

Ever since I was introduced to Wahaca one evening down in Southwark, I've made it a part of my weekly routine. I appreciate the atmosphere and unique decor of the restaurant but its the food that consistently brings me back. I can be a bit pragmatic about food and tend to eat something that's healthy and filling. Luckily with Wahaca I get my practicality and it's quite delicious. Lastly what seals the deal is the staff. Friendly and attentive with a casual approach to help guide you through a very tempting selection of Mexican street food. Last two times in Soho I've had Marcos help me and I would say his warm personality emphasizes what Wahaca's all about.

Saturday, November 13, 2010 - Black Bean Tostadas - The only palatable dish but drowned by the excessive watery content from the tomato salsa...Mole poblano (a sauce from Oaxaca) was ordered but the salsa verde version appeared instead. Seeing that I was about to throw another wobbly I somewhat restrained and tolerated what was placed in front of me. This was the dish that came with the aggrieved rice. Having taken the woes of the cold air blasting from the air conditioner into consideration, the not so piping hot chicken filling was plainly pedestrian and the roasted onions were basically raw.
