Thursday, April 14, 2011 - We ordered Grilled British steak with chipotle salsa - three small tacos topped with the steak. These were good, the steak juicy and rare, the chipotle zingy, and each taco happily enfolded its topping before being popped into the mouth. Less easy to eat were Tostadas of Chicken guajillo. The chunks of marinated chicken, lettuce, guacamole and smoky guajillo oil were piled high on the tostadas and when bitten half the toppings went up my nose, while the other half tumbled in pieces back down onto the plate. A bit bland too, but then chicken breast often is. The spicy sauces on the table helped take care of that though.

Walking through Soho we "stumbled" upon Wahaca & were so pleased we did.

The atmosphere was great & the food even better. Two of our lady friends ordered Chicken something and a bowl of Brown stuff appeared. Nobody knew what it was & we were surprised it was Chocolate. The ladies said they had not thought Chocolate would go with this but apparently it also goes well in curries etc.

Waiter talked us through the menu & offered advice etc.

Would recommend this restaurant and it wasn't expensive.

My friend and I popped in here after a theatre visit - it was another friend's recommendation. We weren't disappointed.

The service was polite, friendly but not overly ostentatious and our waiter, Chris took time to explain the menu. We plumped for the meal for two which gave us an assortment of Mexican Street Food dishes. They were all delicious and we finished off our meal with ice cream.

I would definitely visit Wahaca again!

Chris is an asset to your organisation. He has true potential and great customer service skills. I gave you 8 for the atmosphere because it was too loud and noisy.

We have visited your restaurant on 23 March, our check no was 6579, table no 12/1

I ate at Wahaca Soho with 5 friends on Saturday, got seated quickly which was a relief at 6.15pm. Our waitress Monika was brilliant and explained the different areas of the menu and the specials. The food was fantastic, I shared a 'Wahaca Selection' with a friend which worked out £19.99 for 2 people, plenty of food and great value for money. The dishes were extremely fresh and hot options available for spicy food fans. We then went to the downstairs bar for wine and cocktails, the bar was buzzing and brilliant DJs. We didn't realize how specious it was! Again the staff were efficient and polite and a great night was had by all. We will DEFINITELY return!

My mom and I are from Southern California and we decided to try Wahaca expecting sub-par Mexican food but this restaurant proved us wrong. We got a few starters, three main dishes and passion fruit margaritas that were amazing. Our server, Ieva was phenomenal. She was very attentive, passionate for the food, and was very helpful when it came time to ordering. Coming from Southern California, we are very familiar with what good Mexican food tastes like and Wahaca is great Mexican food! We highly recommend this place!

Hadn't booked and arrived at 7.00pm on Friday 7th December asking for a table of 4. Staff couldn't have been more polite and efficient giving us a bleeper to let us know when the table was ready. Headed to the bar for 25 mins which was great to get a beer and relax. Food was fun, well presented and exactly what we wanted. Service was faultless and unobtrusive by Vivien D and again great theatre. Never hurried and would certainly return as it was also terrific value for money. If you want great fun, service, food and atmosphere with quality people go to Wahaca.

we had a lovely meal at Wahaca today spoilt only by the fact that the waiter knocked over a beer bottle on our table and did not replace it or knock the price off the bill - I did not then leave a tip!

Saturday, November 13, 2010 - Black Bean Tostadas - The only palatable dish but drowned by the excessive watery content from the tomato salsa...Mole poblano (a sauce from Oaxaca) was ordered but the salsa verde version appeared instead. Seeing that I was about to throw another wobbly I somewhat restrained and tolerated what was placed in front of me. This was the dish that came with the aggrieved rice. Having taken the woes of the cold air blasting from the air conditioner into consideration, the not so piping hot chicken filling was plainly pedestrian and the roasted onions were basically raw.
