Baan Aim Thai

Some friends took four of us to this restarant for a meal and all I can say is, I wishe we had been aware of it's whereabouts before.
The restaurant held a cosy atmosphere and one of warm welcome.
The food was excellent. The portions very generous. And the price? very reasonable.
The service was exceptionally good.
For us the whole experience was 12 out of ten.
We will certainly be going to Baan Aim Thai again, very soon.
To those who made this evening perfect we all say, 'Thank you', and we look forward to seeing you again very soon.

Have lived in this area for ages but have never tried this restaurant till recently. Having just discovered it I can only say that I've missed something special. A very laid back atmosphere belies the fact that the food is absolutely superb. I recommend the Sea Bass which is the best I have ever had. Tremendous. Great value for money as well with the average main course at around £8 ( the Sea bass is £14 but is worth every penny and some ). With house wine at £3.50 a glass you can comfortably enjoy a tremendous meal with wine, coffee etc for arounf £25 a head. Tremendous flavours, attentive staff. Try it you won't disappointed. It really is this good. The only down side the chairs are a little small if like me you are somewhat on the large side. One of the best restaurants in Wimbledon.

This is a hidden gem of a Thai Restaurant in an area that frankly has several good ones to choose from already. Situated right on the border of SW19 and SW20, it sort of lies in the no mans' land half way between Wimbledon and Raynes Park (West Wimbledon!), and for that reason seems to get overlooked and is rarely busy.
Don't be fooled by the lack of custom; when word spreads about this place it will become very popular because the quality of the food is just outstanding and very good value for money. For a Thai restaurant it also has a pretty reasonable little wine list and a good bar to boot!
The owners work hard and there is a constant stream of take away diners at peak times over the weekend, and unusually these days, they don't deliver so their customers are clearly prepared to make the effort. I originally found it when I went to collect a take away, but I was so blown away by the place (and did I mention the great food?) that we have been back for meals several times. The mixed starter for two is sensational, but we have tried different main courses every time and so far every one has been fabulous. Considering that whenever I have eaten here it hasn't been that busy, the atmosphere has still managed to be both friendly and inviting. This is altogether a very positive dining experience, and like me, I suspect that if you try it once you'll be back for more!
