Mandaloun (Westfield)

Me and my mum visited this restaurant for late lunch on Wednesday after shopping. I was reluctant to try as the reviews were terrible but decided to come in anyway. I can say our experience was not too bad. We both had the 2 course lunch deal. The food was good, I had chicken shawarma with rice and salad and my mum had the same. I was expecting what I have read on the reviews but surprisingly everything turned out to be great. The service was good but could be better. Our food came on time, happy about this as we were both hungry. Our waiter was polite and the bar person who approached and gave us the table was really friendly. I give this restaurant 7 out of 10.

Mandaloun has to be THE WORST restaurant I have been to in the three years I have lived in London. I tend to always look at reviews when choosing where to dine, tonight was the exception. Boy do I regret it. ALL of our food was BLAND. Not worth a penny for the quality and lack of flavor (service was up to par with the quality of restaurant).

Do yourself a favor, take your business elsewhere!

I have been there for couple of times and every time I regretted it and had a very experience with the guy who serve shishas. He is very rude and impolite. I would never suggest any body to go there. Don't even try it. They have the worse behaviour towards customers.

I have been to many restaurants in my life, but have never had as bad a service as this place. Do not waste time coming here. The service is appalling, there is a reason they force a service charge of 12.5% on you, it is because no one would ever give them a tip with their arrogant service, lacking any respect for the customer.

AWFUL. We sat down, had to ask twice for menus, found out that the board outside entitled 'TODAY'S SPECIAL LUNCH DEAL' was not actually today's deal as it wasn't applicable on a Saturday. Got our drinks wrong. Ordered overpriced food, then presented with a beige platter of disgusting stodgy and very processed 'mezze'. This place is the worst restaurant I have eaten in and does not do Lebanese food justice. With so much on offer at Westfield, avoid this restaurant if you do not want to pay for awful food and terrible service.

One of the WORST places to go to in London. RUDE people and completely unprofessional. They lack the basic understanding of what it's like to be in the catering business... I was actually about to have a fight with the manager due to his rudeness but only refrained as I had friends with me and didn't want to spoil the evening.

WORST SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE EVER! Went for a shisha, wine and dinner. We were told that there was no food outside then 5 minutes later other people were being served. I actually had to line up to complain because others were complaining about a variety of things. No apologies just excuses and they even blamed it on me. Not a please or thank you from any staff during the entire time. If I wanted anything I needed to walk and get the waiter (rudest man you could imagine). Strongly advise never to go. TERRIBLE!

Worst service I have ever experienced in a restaurant.

We arrived and waited for 10 minutes at the door with staff walking past us and not even making eye contact. Then after we were seated and getting ready to order we were told the seats were actually reserved and we should wait 2 minutes for another table to be prepared. As we waited a waiter came and asked us if we were going to leave or wait 1/2 an hour for another table. Someone else came and stopped us from leaving and told us our table was ready.

Although the food was average and one dish arrived with a hair in it the service continued to astound. The waiters were miserable and not friendly at all. No one asked if our food was ok and you had to wave a waiter down like a cab otherwise they were not interested in coming to the table.

at the end of the night as we walked out, the maitre'd who was walking out in front of us let the door slam shut in our face. I am amazed that this place has managed to survive given all the reviews on how appalling the service is.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever experienced. Our food arrived extremely late, other diners who came after us received their food before us. I ordered the chicken shawarma meal. The shawarma was 25% chicken and 75% a soft fat-like substance. The chips were cold and the lettuce was browning. It was like this plate was sitting there for a few hours and they served it to me. When I told the waiter my food was cold and to make me a fresh plate, he heated the food in the microwave, the lettuce was hot and brown. Awful. The manager could see how frustrated we were but did nothing! He seemed very arrogant and was only good for counting money behind the counter. The worst customer service ever. Please don't go to this restaurant. The food is extremely pricey and similar to mouldy, greasy street kiosk food. If you go to Edgware Road, you will get amazing food at good prices and the staff are usually very pleasant. I will be complaining to Westfield too, this isn't the first time I've thrown £40 down the drain at Mandaloun.

After just visiting this restaurant, I couldn't contain my eagerness to get home and expose this place for what it really is. The staff were extremely rude. The price for shisha was extortionate...when we asked if we could have the food menu outside, we were told no. However, the table next us were served a feast and when asked about this; they were supposedly regular customers. Please, please avoid this place at all costs.
