Had supper with an old girlfriend i haven't seen in years and decided to go back to an old haunt, Lonsdale in Notting Hill. We were both very happy to discover that both the food and cocktails were just as good (if not a little better) than we remembered them to be. Still a popular venue it seems, and apparently will be hosting a cabaret and supper club upstairs soon...how exciting.

Will be going back again soon!

I was dragged to this bar for a friends birthday, and must say how impressed I was. It was nothing like I expected, the staff were super friendly and the cocktails are some of the best I've had in London. The food looked amazing, and the taste I had off someone elses plate is ensuring I take my wife back there for dinner soon. I will gladly recommend this place to my friends.

Pig Pig's Corner

Pig Pig's Corner - 7/10

Thursday, July 15, 2010 - The scallops were nicely cooked and had that nice bouncy texture, but were slightly underwhelming in taste. The butternut squash puree was excellent though and the sweetness was nicely offset by the naturally salty, oily and sharp chorizo...'Roast rack of lamb, sweet potato & coriander puree'. This dish was perfect in every way. The lamb was wonderfully tender and pink in the middle, well seasoned and still had that great lamby taste, enhanced even more by the jus on the side. The sweet potato puree is identical to the one in the starter but the addition of coriander gave it a fresh zest as well.

@manne We're yet to find a Thai in the West End that's mind-blowing but Siam Central (Charlotte St) is very good (and cheap!)
