Quite the best thing that's happened to the area for many years - it really provides a terrific focal point, besides producing consistently good food and great coffee.

Really good food at reasonable prices. Thats probably the best brownie that I've ever eaten. Friendly staff in a bright warm atmosphere and excellent sounds in the background. A few too many kids in my opinion, we left swiftly after the arrival of a group of poorly parented toddlers. Why is every cafe I go in completely overun with small children? Apperently this place is going to open in the evenings when they get the toilets sorted. Meanwhile I think the smoking ban should be relaxed to smoke the little rugrats out.

I live locally and have been excited by the opening of this well-needed local cafe. It's taken me a while to start using it, but everything I've had there has been great- chocolate brownie; fruit cake, freshly made cougette & leek soup (delicious!) with really good proper baguette. The coffee is good too...

There is always some interesting art on the walls and a mix of seating including a nice sofa I plan on trying out next time I'm in. The staff are friendly and there's a good atmosphere- looking forward to the next 'phase' of development- toilets!

This is a lovely place. came upon it quite by accident whilst house hunting. Accomplished, beautifully presented food at very reasonable prices served by friendly staff in a bright welcoming environment. The presence of this community asset helped us make the decision to move from Bow to New Cross.

This is a great cafe - once you have found it. It's at the top of a hill on a residential street and looks out over a pretty, hilly park. It is in a space carved out of the lowest level of a boxy '70s building which is tacked onto a big Victorian church.

The food is fresh and locally-sourced where possible; the menu is tempting, varied and includes soup and bread for under a fiver and delicious, home-made cakes for a couple of quid. The coffee is excellent, the staff are welcoming and efficient and the ambience is very relaxing. Best of all, maybe, is the spirit behind this cafe - it is the brainchild of a group of public-spirited locals who banded together to create a multi-use space to serve as a hub for community activities.
