I went to The Treehouse for the first time last week and i will definitely be going back!

The staff were welcoming on arrival and nothing was too much trouble for our large party.

I had the crab and saffron tart which was divine followed by their fish cakes. The best i've had for a long time!

Lovely ambience and a cute garden out the back where we lounged for most of the evening!

Although i dont live nearby The Treehouse is worth the trip!

I am pretty shocked at the amount of positive reviews for The TreeHouse -

Being a local resident for the past 8 years I have visited this establishment probably 10 times , I can honestly say that, I will now NEVER go back. The cooking here is vile , ingredients are poor & often past their best, most dishes are badly cooked & there are some awful taste combinations. To top this off , the food is seriously overpriced. We should not be encouraging this substandard culture of bad , overpriced food , this may have been acceptable & even a breakthrough restaurant 15/20 years ago, but really with what's on offer these days , this place is truly awful.

Although its been a while since I stepped foot inside this restaurant.. I have not got much good to say about it..

On arrival the staff was busy chatting with each other to notice us.

But most importantly the food was soo bad that I cannot face to go back and try it again.

Although my friends had burger and they were fairly satisfied I definitely would not recommend the roast!!!

I think they just trying to hard - at the end of the day this just an expensive pub.

Three of us ate here night before St Valentines day. Not much love in evidence.

Oooh but the food was gorgeous. We ate starters and main courses, no puds.

The starters were amazing, with some unique combination of flavours, truly adventurous eating. There could have been a little more blue cheese with the pear starter and that was the only slight negative. The fish options were perhaps the best I'd ever tasted and my two veggie friends described the food as "divine" "amazing" "inspired" "fantastic" "exquisite"

Nothing was too much trouble for the professional waiter.

I will be there again ASAP

Just had a surprise 30th birthday party at the TreeHouse, in the upstairs function room. It was a beautiful venue, and the staff were impeccable, catering very attentively to our every need. The food was good, and I have to say everyone had a really enjoyable time.

An expensive local that seems not to be bothered with people who just want a drink.

The food when we visited was pretty good, but the service was laggardly, surly and downright slow.

When we asked were our food was - a good 45 minute wait later, the waiter response was that everyone had ordered at the same time! This was lunchtime!

A party of friends on a nearby table didn't even get fed, the waiter said - after their lengthy wait - that he had forgotten to put their food order in. They left hungry and disappointed.

This establishment should take a leaf out of the nearby Black Dog - an excellent gastro pub.

I recently arranged a surprise 60th party in the upstairs private room at the Treehouse. The staff were fantastic and catered to our every need. Jana who looked after us for the evening was wonderful. Everybody who came to the party commented on the fantastic food but also and the amazing venue. The Treehouse is my local pub/restaurant anyway but i really can recommend the upstairs. It has a wonderful feel to it and is ideal for a party for anything between 10 and 60 people (that bit I got from the website!). You can't have a disco because it is a residential area but you can play your own music. The room has its own bar and a side area where they serve the food.

Thanks to all the staff for a very memorable evening.

A wonderful local, great friendly service, food is very good value. Definitely top of the list for Barnes with the competition still over pricing and with surly service.

The Tree House is one my favourite places in the world.

It's like a home from home with just the best bits - full of friendliness, serving up delicious food and a great stash of booze for party time. I am a local so the familiarity adds to this, but that said, even if it's a 3-times a week visit, it always feels like a treat to be there.

I'd recommend to anyone for any occasion just as long as there's still as seat for me outside under the heaters!
