Now open on Warren Street, Mushu specialises in 'fast fresh Oriental food' including handmade Beijing dumplings. The reasonably priced menu also includes noodle dishes, katsu curry, salads and snacks like chicken karaage, Sichuan pickled cucumber and edamame.

Great little restaurant, tucked just off Tottenham Court Road. Friendly staff, delicious food (especially the dumplings!), and a great variety - mixing up the starters makes for a great japanese style tapas exzperience. We will be back!!

One word to sum up our Mushu experience is Disappointing....when looking at previous reviews I chose Mushu as the menu looked good and reviews were equally glowing. And because its an independent, I didn't want to go to boring wagamama etc...

If I first concentrate on the food, I have to be fair and report the dumplings to be fresh and tasty, however this was the highlight. We found the highly rated 'Chilli salt and pepper squid' to be majorly lacking in the seasoning it's billed with, and pretty average chicken yakitori. The yakisoba noodles were even less impressive with VERY few small morsels of chicken & boiled prawns (like 5 of each) and clumps of insipid soft noodles. (we were told this was a one off)

My final gripe was that the restaurant menu was priced differently to the mushu website, which came as a surprise to the server/manager.

I have to be fair and say the manager did listen to our 'feedback', offered a complimentary dessert and after we declined he took the yakisoba of the bill.

We're honestly not overly critical diners, but we didn't experiance the positives of prior reviews and wouldnt return or recommend In a hurry.

Have eaten at Mushu a couple of times and have never been disappointed! I had my birthday meal there recently and the food and service were fantastic as always! A great variety of dishes including super-delicious dumplings! Lovely simple décor, the kitchen is open to you can watch your food being cooked (if you want!) Just 2mins from Warren Street tube. Open Mon-Fri only, not weekends.

Saw the reviews on this while researching my trip to London. Decided to give it a try as I was staying in the area. Loved it. Loved the food. Loved the simple decor. I have a weakness for dumplings and these were good. And the meatballs were awesome. Only problem now is I'm back in Vancouver. Do you guys deliver?

Having studied in London for the past 10 years, there is nothing more I miss then my mum's authentic chinese cooking, esp her yummy fish dumplings, so you can imagine the delight I was in when I came across this lovely little place. Luckily after sampling some of their water dumplings I was not disappointed. They were delicious and brought back memories of my childhood.

What was great was I could see the chef at work, making my dumplings due to the open plan kitchen so I was guaranteed their dumplings were fresh. I espcially loved the veggie dumplings and you must go for the sauce to accompany them. Those extra slices of ginger makes all the diiference!

My wife and I stumbled on this fantastic little oriental treasure after a long morning of furniture shopping and what a find!. We were initially attracted by the cool sign and open layout of the restaurant but it was only once we got through the main door that we could see that there was an open kitchen where the chef could be be seen making all the dumplings freshly!! This explains the second helping of dumplings i had...i've travelled a bit and eaten in many china towns around the world and honestly FRESH IS BEST!! the dumplings were juicy and tender and very very more-ish!! My wife had the meatballs which were also just as delicious and the oriental fruit juices were great.

Service was friendly and quick and it all made a nice change from the reheated stuff you can get in some chinese places....

Thanks Mushu for giving me the energy to carry on furniture shopping!!!

There's a few nearby oriental places to Mushu but after visiting a couple of times, I can confidently say this place is my fav for the freshness of food; it's def not just reheating and you can watch them cook infront of your eyes. Must try the juicy water dumpings which is divine! Also love the decor which is really bright and open and cleancut and quite trendy!

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, great location, efficient staff along with good lunch-time prices. This place does efficient food for those with less time on their hands and they do not sacrifice the taste for this efficiency. Wish I lived/worked nearer there! YUM!!!

Great new opening in the Warren Street area....we definitely need more quality restaurants like Mushu! To have freshly made oriental food is a treat compared to the ready made stuff you get elsewhere or the usual boring sandwich shops.

Dumplings are great as is the Chicken Karaage. Looking forward to working my way through the rest of the menu. Staff are friendly with a calming well lit open spaced feeling to the restaurant.

Will be back for more!

I've been quite fussy about asian food since I travelled around there 5 years ago, so when my work colleague tried to entice me to try out Mushu after grabbing a discounted leaflet I politely declined as assumed it would be another one of the Wasabi's or Chinese buffet places.

Wrong.

The Chicken Katsu curry was spot on, and great value. My colleague had the dumpling soup ('Eat' take note, this is what Dumpling Soup is supposed to look and taste like). We also had a ginger and apple quencher was also very tasty.

Staff were friendly and I loved the tables and chairs. Whole place had a nice vibe to it.

Am looking forward to trying out the rest of the menu.
