the best place i've seen in london. the staff is friendly and helpful. they try to do their best to create a good atmosphere like home. the food is great. the price is honest.....i'll come up again.

Service awful, especially the manager !!! He is very rude ! The food takes more than 40 minutes to arrive.... I don't know how this place survive. Ok, I know... Italian people....

People go to S. Lucia to eat. Food is very good and genuine. The best restaurant I have ever seen. Ciao ragazzi un saluto da Roma, Paolo from Calabria.

What an insult to the inteligence.

You will get the worst service ever and they will still be surprised when you say something about that. infinite mess. Only highlight was the cashier - what a sweet girl. She seemed embarassed by the events - couldn't do much about it though...

A terrible experience. After decent antipasti, a waiter brought us pizza intended for another table, which was promptly taken away by a waitress who announced to us that the restaurant had unfortunately run out of mozzarella (at around 8:30pm), that the manager had gone to look for some in the neighborhood, that they had no idea when he might return, but that she was optimistic it shouldn't take more than half an hour. We finally got a not-very-good pizza about an hour and 20 minutes after we ordered it, never received an apology, had to ask five times to get the check, and when I pointed to the manager that 1) the check wasn't added up properly and that 2) we didn't think we should be charged service, he told us that they liked to do things differently there.

I have to say that even though this restaurant had its ups and downs in the past, lately it seems to have changed gear.

Staff is friendly, the manager is very efficient and there is also a BBQ at weekends with pretty amazing "fiorentinas" and grilled fish.

Finally they installed outdoor heating lamps so that you can seat and watch the buzzy activity of Hollywood Road on not-so-warm evenings.

And I discovered last week spanking new LCDs in the basement to watch Italian (and non) football matches.

Pizza is always one of the best.

Yep, not what it was. We had a group of 20 and they just could not cope. We ended up waiting on ourselves sharing small starters and the slabs of pizza (good though it remains) were just insufficient and took a lifetime to arrive. I couldn't get attention for more wine. We left hungry and sober and £40 a head worse off. Not a good night out, but I might go back with my girlfriend, when I've cooled off a little, because it's been fun before. Then again, there are a few decent places locally, so maybe not.
