I've been going there at least once a month for the last 3 years. Is definitely the restaurant that I take all of my friends and family members that want to eat the best Italian food here in London. Excellent service, wine and a great choice of menu. My favourite dish by far would be the "Carbonara".

I seriously recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food and an incredible atmosphere.

Had a decent meal at Santa Lucia recently. Nothing to set the world on fire but good, fresh and tasty at a reasonable price. Would go back if in the area. Staff were very pleasant although it took a while for our food to arrive.

I went to this restaurant on Saturday . I had a starter and it was absolutely fantastic. For main I had the clams pasta which again was excellent. There is a brilliant choice on the menu, in fact so good that it took me 15 minutes to decide. The service was very good even though the restaurant was fully booked. There was also a very good selection of specials.

I would definately recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys good italian food. I will be back there soon.

We have been coming to St Lucia for the last 3 years, and yesterday night was a complete disappointment.

Although we booked a table for 4, we were kept waiting 30 minutes at the door, because the restaurant was full. We sat down and we got our drinks order. We wanted to order food as well, but we were kept waiting again. I finished my glass of Prosecco when finally, at 11 pm, they got our order: half of the starters in the menu not available, pizza and some pasta.

After waiting for another 45 mins, the food came. The quantity on the plate was really little in comparison to previous times, the salads came with no dressing, our waiter didn't bother to ask if we wanted some salt or pepper.

The pizza came cold after I went to complain to the front desk. They gave us a glass of house wine (just a glass, for 4 people) and said sorry 100 times.

We wanted to order desserts, but no panacotta, or tiramisu were left. We were given some limoncello, which we said we didn't want it, so we left it.

Apologies all around, with justification of plenty of parties downstairs (we noticed as the music system kept on playing happy birthday songs quite loudly) and a hectic waitress who had too many limoncellos and could not control the service in the restaurant.

Not coming back.

Saturday was a bit frustrating but ended on a high. The plan had been to feed Baby G lunch then head off for lunch with the family near Stamford Bridge before I headed off to the game. The late lamented "Langan's" would have been our first choice for lunch but as of last Monday it is no more. We decided to wander down to High St ken but both "Carluccio's" and "Balans" were full. We then decided agaisnt better judgement to get a cab to Sophie's Steakhouse to try and get a table. Predictably it was full. We tried Hache, they were full and a bit rude when we asked about a table. The Fulham Road "Carluccio's" was full as well. We were just about to give up hope when I remembered Hollywood Rr had a few restaurants so with a last shake of the dice we tried there. "Santa Lucia/Made in Italy" was open and didn't appear that full which worried us slightly but we thought we would give it a go.

Actually it proved to be a good choice. They helped us in with the pushchair, gave us a nice big table by the window with plenty of room for baby G. The appearance from outside was deceptive as the restaurant goes back quite far into a sort of conservatory. At the centre is a proper wood fired oven where the chef was throwing fresh dough for the pizza bases. We ordered a mixed salad, a side of zuchinni friiti and we shared a mixed pizza. They make their pizza's by the meter so we ordered 25cm of parma ham and mozarella and 25cm of speck and mushroom. We went for a half bottle of chianti to restore us after our odyssey to find somewhere for lunch. The food came pretty quickly and was good. The stand out was the zuchinni which was lightly fried in a great batter, really mawish. the mixed salad was so so. The pizza's were very nice, the fresh bases really made a difference. Half way through Baby G decided his push chair was not to his liking so I had to hold him whilst I ate. I have become a bit of expert at eating one handed of late. Pizza is easier than most.

The restaurant had a nice mix of people from fellow Chelsea fans to a lot of families who came in a bit later. The staff were very pleasant and the restaurant had a nice buzz. The bill came to £53 which was a bit toppy but that was down to the half bottle of really average Chianti at £17.50. The food itself is reasonably priced. We were debating post match where we will go now "Langan's" is no more. I think "Santa Lucia/Made in Italy" is in with a decent shout. So despite a dodgy start I had a nice lunch and saw Chelsea win so a bit of a result.

We found Santa Lucia walking by and decided to give it a try. It smelled delicious and was warm and inviting with candle-lit tables; a cosy atmosphere on a rainy evening!

We ordered the Rigatoni Mamma Mia, Spaghetti ala Carbonara, home-made bread and wine. Our pasta arrived hot and had fantastic flavour. The bread was delicious too. The wine recommendation was spot-on. Our server was new on the job but was friendly and took very good care of us. It was some of the best service we received in London. The prices are moderate too. I would definitely go back. We thought about how good this meal was every time we went out to eat and not many other places compared.

Santa Lucia makes some of the best pizza you will ever eat. It is expertly wood fired, and the ingredients are perfectly proportioned.

On top of the great eats, the service is great. The host remembers your name, and the servers do their job and then just let you enjoy the food -- it is a great dining experience,

Pizza good, people bad.

I ordered a tiramisu and was confronted with a bowl of cream. When I asked what this is they had to cheek to tell me "this is the tiramisu". A couple of words rapidly learnt them what I thought of such an assertion (waitress was not Italian but I am, bad luck...).

I sent the cream (it was truly that, just cream) and they came back saying that this is the tiramisu as the chef makes it.

Obviously no "tiramisu" was eaten or paid and no tip given, they had the nerve to ask why.

Never again.
