Very average food that is too overpriced, topped with poor service.
Surely do not recommend it, there are many better ones around.

Food quality varies all the time. So be aware that next time you go there food may taste completely different. The food is also expensive. They serve the same rasam and chutney for all the dishes. Most importantly they add a lot of ghee and that can precipitate heart attack! So visit once in a while is OK

I thought the food was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t fault it. We had a very tasty potato and cashew kofta dish in a creamy-ish sauce which was amazing, along with a spicy tomato based curry, as well as an okra dish. We had parathas with it and they were spot on. The service was friendly, police and quick. I’d definitely go back. I’ve eaten in a lot of south Indian places and this is definitely up there and I preferred it to Rasa on Dering Street.

Fantastic - The food is amazing and the waiter was so helpful, he took care of everything and we were happy to put ourselves in his hands as the comprehensive menu was a little daunting.
He brought us an amazing selection of food!
Four of us had plenty to eat, several beers and the bill came to £30 per person including service. Go Here!

Woodland is a very welcoming restaurant in Central London. We thought that our meal was one of the best Indian meals we have had in London and we could not fault the service and the attentiveness of the staff and specially the girl who selected food for us,
We started with the excellent poppadom and snack selection with the pickles and chutneys, followed Dahi batata poori,Sev Poori.Idli.Medu Veda and Upma and we opted to have the masala dosa. mysore masala and mixed uttapam for the main couser with coconut rice and bhindi kuttu. all of which were delicious. Our desserts were Badam Halwa and Gulab Jamun , both of which were also very good.
Having been to the parent resturant in Stoke Newington several times over the years we still found the different menu to be equally enjoyable and look forward to visiting the restaurant again.

When I first came across Woodlands it was a godsend. Excellent food, excellent service. It became a favorite eating spot and I have been back a number of times in the last 2 years, and recommended it to many .
I was back last week with my sister - sadly, I think it may well have been my last visit. The quality of the food has become untolerable - paranthas arrive broken and stuck together in the hope that you won't notice (while you pay through your nose for amateur cooking and zero presentation) and the inflexibility of the chefs is past the point of amusement.
The menu proclaims loudly that dishes are prepared freshly from scratch - so why, when you ask for the dish to be made to your preference (with / without certain ingrediants) do you get the negative response that it can't be done?
The service is non existent - one very loud and rude head honcho in the Marylebone site, whose presence and lack of soft skills make you want to bolt out of the door. She spends her entire time either chatting on her mobile, or shouting at the poor waiters who are scared of her. Come on Woodlands - if you want to survive, you need to shake things up a lot - bring your menu into this century - revise your ludicrous prices - change your staff , and actually bring some quality standards into the branch.Come on - buck up before you close!!

used to come here a lot because of the good service and great food. Unfortunately things have changed and food is pretty average and service bad - would not recommend

Nice to have a South Indian restaurant in the west end but I really feel they are resting on their laurels.
Foodwise I think there are better veggie Indian restaurants (Kastoori in Tooting for example).
Service is good when being served by one of the head people, pretty bad when its not. But then I think the bad service makes the whole Indian experience more authentic! I say this having been to India more than 6 times.
